Nick Sirianni opens up about Eagles receiver room 'The Insiders'
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni talks about the state of the Eagles receiver room on "The Insiders".

After the Eagles were Super Bowl runners up, they bounced back to win the Super Bowl after the 2024 season.
They have started their mandatory minicamp today.
They will have it again tomorrow.
And Nick Siriani, after the trade of AJ Brown, still with an opportunity to answer questions about AJ Brown.
There's a lot of good years here, right?
Um, and we've done a lot of good things, um, with, when, when, with AJ here two times in the Super Bowl, I think he was all pro multiple times, Pro Bowl multiple times, and, uh, so I would say it was a, it was a great, it was a good run.
Um, but really excited about that room that we have, um.
You know, Devonta Smith has had a really good offseason, has had what, uh, 5 good years of, of being an Eagle as well.
Uh, very, very productive and excited that, you know, he's gonna get extra opportunities that, um, he works so hard to, that people convert that.
Um, You know, I'm really excited about Mackay, um, and, and where he is, uh, this offseason and just has ability to catch the football, his, his toughness, um, I think that's a great addition to that room.
So taking from that, Mike, uh, we've got two teams that are both excited about the AJ Brown trade, especially, uh, those Philadelphia Eagles and all the opportunity in that room.
Well, they're excited about everything that they've got, uh, otherwise, you're right, I think this is the year that Devonta Smith, at least nationally announces to people what he means to that team.
Uh, locally they certainly understand that.
Um, they're not happy that AJ Brown is gone though.
I mean, there's still a lot of love for him in that building.
Um, it was just a situation that he couldn't coexist with Jalen Hurts, and it, it had to end, and it did end.
Um, and it ended with a trade that netted them the first round pick, yeah, they gotta wait a couple of years to, to get it, but, uh, netted them that first round pick, so they got a good return, they're happy about that part of it.
Uh, but Brown was in there last week to gather his final belongings and say his goodbye, goodbyes to some folks.
He was in there on Thursday of last week, and, um, I mentioned this on Good Morning Football, they, they have them, all the Pro Bowlers sign their pictures in the hallway.
He signed it, and then he wrote, the best to ever play here.
Uh, always open, and yeah, maybe he was the best wide receiver in every, I mean, there's a Hall of Famer in Harold Carmichael.
Mike Quick was, uh, really good in his own right.
Uh, Terrell Owens is a fantastic receiver, was only there briefly.
So we can have that discussion elsewhere, but AJ Brown was a fantastic wide receiver for the Eagles, and a guy that a lot of people appreciated.
Now it's like Jalen Hurts in this new offense, Tom, has to really show out and prove that all these other guys they were excited about, I can have the same success with them.
That's the fascinating thing here, Mike, to me, which is we look at AJ Brown, everyone wants to talk about the frustration, not getting the ball enough.
He was a volume player the entire time in Philadelphia, even last season, he still has over 1000 yards, he still has 7 touchdowns, he had over 120 targets.
The question in my mind is, as you move into this new offense here with Sean Manning coming in as a first-time offensive coordinator.
Where does that volume go?
All the focus is gonna be on Jalen Hurts, but he's got a bunch of guys around him besides Devonta Smith, who he has not played with before.
It is Makay Lemon and Jontavian Wicks coming in in a trade from Green Bay.
It's Hollywood Brown coming in as a free agent.
You know what the last time was that a wide receiver on the Packers had 120+ targets?
It was Devonte Adams who was traded to the Raiders like.
5 years ago this is going to be a different style of offense.
Somebody's going to have to pick up the slack, and based on the nature, Patrick, of how they want to play, it may be spread across a bunch of different people.
Yeah, you mentioned the slack on 3rd and 10 or more.
They targeted AJ Brown 11 times last season.
He caught 8 of them.
72% of those were successful.
Somebody, uh, is going to have to fill that role.
You talked about being focused on the court.
