Will Javon Holland live up to his contract for the New York Giants in 2026?
Javon Holland has a big contract for the New York Giants.
He is the 9th highest paid safety in the NFL annually, and in his first year did not perform up to that standard, with a big jump in his salary from 2025 to 2026.
Holland also missed three games in that time.
And generally just had one of the least productive years of his career.
He had just 1 interception, 3 passes broken up, no tackles for a loss, no forced fumbles, no fumble recoveries there, 63 tackles.
It wasn't exactly very productive for him, but he was also used in a different way than usual, had to play a lot more of a deep safety spot instead of being someone that can move all over the place.
This year, under N Wilson under John Harbaugh, should be able to move all throughout the secondary.
Honestly, the thing that might hold him back from being able to move all around the secondary this year.
I if Tyler Newman does not take the step that we are looking for from him in this offseason, but with Dennard Wilson, with John Harbaugh, with Javon Holland, there is a path to getting a lot more value out of a guy that loves playing with his eyes in the backfield, and loves trying to be a ball hawk in the secondary, Javon Holland could actually live up to his big hefty contract figure this year.
