Packers Linked to Major Sleeper DB Option to Solve Huge Flaw
The Green Bay Packers definitely need to add another defensive back this offseason.

So last offseason, the Packers made a really big mistake by neglecting to address the cornerback position.
They did sign Nate Hobbs, but Hobbs struggled throughout the year, played just 11 games, had some injuries.
The Packers actually just released him last week.
Now going into twenty twenty-six, we're seeing much of the same from Green Bay.
They signed Benjamin St-Juste, but he's really nothing more than a depth addition.
So Keishan Nixon and Carrington Valentine are currently the top two corners, and that doesn't inspire much confidence heading into next year.
So the Packers will probably select a cornerback at some point in the NFL draft if they don't make another move here in free agency or via trade.
And Packers insider Matt Schneiderman has actually predicted the Packers to select Malik Muhammad from Texas in the fourth round of the draft next month.
Now, Muhammad is viewed by many as a day two pick, so to be able to get him in round four would definitely be a steal for Green Bay.
He started at Texas in twenty twenty-three, immediately got playing time for the Longhorns, and became a critical part of their secondary throughout his entire career at Texas.
So I think this would be a really nice addition for the Packers.
Now, would he contribute immediately right off the bat and be a starter right off the bat?
Probably not.
But I do think that at some point in twenty twenty-six, if he plays well in a, in a reserve role, he might be able to supplant at least Valentine as a starting corner at some point next season.
Th-they need to get somebody else in there to bring some competition because the, the duo of Nixon and Valentine just not going to cut it for Green Bay.
And I don't care if Mike Parsons comes back and has twenty-five sacks next year, which, you know, he won't given his timetable, but if he-- even if he did, they need to have more help in the secondary.
And, you know, the, the only way to do that really is either-- is probably getting a cornerback in the draft 'cause it does not look like the Packers are gonna be that interested in signing anyone in free agency unless maybe someone like Marlon Humphrey becomes available.
But Muhammad I think would be a really nice pickup for Green Bay in the fourth round.
They unfortunately don't have a first-round pick, so they can't use a first-rounder on a corner.
Maybe even-- They might even look to go with a corner in the second round, if I'm being honest with you.
But at the same time, if you're able to get Muhammad in round four, it's a really nice pickup.
