Packers Linked to Stunning Draft Pick That Will Have Fans Buzzing
Could the Green Bay Packers actually land this player in the NFL Draft?

So we know heading into the NFL draft that the Packers have very clear needs at both cornerback and edge rusher.
They lost Rashan Gary and Kingsley Enigbara this offseason, trading Gary and losing Enigbara to free agency.
Not only that, but Mikey Parsons is recovering from a torn ACL.
We don't know for sure when he'll be back.
And as far as cornerback's concerned, Keishon Nixon and Carrington Valentine are the Packers' two starting corners at the moment.
You do the math.
But the problem is the Packers don't have a first-round pick.
They traded two-- their next two first-round picks to Dallas in the Parsons deal last August.
So their top pick this year is at number fifty-two in the second round.
They can still get a pretty good player at the spot, though, and one very surprising name has just been linked to the Packers with their second-round draft choice, and that's Florida Gators defensive tackle Caleb Banks.
Now, if the Packers were able to land Banks, I think Packers fans would go in a frenzy because Banks is one of the top defensive tackle prospects, maybe one of the top defensive prospects, period, in this year's NFL draft class.
Now, it wasn't long ago he was viewed as a potential top ten pick, but then Banks broke his foot the day before the scouting combine, didn't know it, worked out, and then had to undergo surgery to repair the injury earlier this month.
And it marked the second time he's had foot surgery in the last six months.
So definitely a concern there for Banks, especially considering he's six-six, three-thirty.
When big guys have had foot injuries, always a concern usually going forward.
But he's so talented and has so much potential and could be such a dominant player at the NFL level that if he's there at fifty-two, even though he's a DT and the Packers just signed Javon Hargrave, I could absolutely see the Packers pulling the trigger there because Brian Gutekunst is the kind of guy who likes to go with just raw talent.
It doesn't matter what position they play.
He likes raw ability, and I think Banks definitely fills that, that, that, specification for Gutekunst.
He's definitely one of the most intriguing prospects this entire class.
And yes, the injury history is concerning, but the potential is through the roof.
If the Packers could put Banks in the middle, you get Parsons back healthy, I mean, that could be a nasty, nasty defensive front.
And I could absolutely see the Packers, even though they have probably the bigger need at corner, I could see them pulling the trigger if Banks is available at fifty-two.
But I'd be a little bit surprised if he does slip that far.
