Nfl free agency is here, Vaughn, and one of the biggest developments, low-key big developments, is the addition of Kyler Murray to the Vikings quarterback room on a Sam Darnold-esque like deal.
I didn't know that Kyler Murray was a lifelong Vikings fan.
Yeah.
But here we are.
but the last time they had a reliable quarterback, they won 14 games.
They've got a pretty damn good roster, but yet the market continues to disrespect them at six to one.
Is the pairing of Kyler and Kevin O'Connell intriguing enough at that price to take a stab?
I think they're more intriguing to watch what happens this season than to be betting on them as of right now.
Obviously, the draft could still happen.
This team could add some depth.
But offensively, Trish, I'm still a little worried.
I mean, they did bring back Aaron Jones, but you only have Jordan Mason behind him.
You have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, but behind them, you don't really have too much of help as a third or fourth options.
And TJ Hawkinson's been great, but if he gets hurt, I mean, you're still in a hole there at the tight end position.
So offensively, I don't really like the depth for the Vikings.
And, you know, it's post Harrison Smith era now defensively.
So I'm definitely curious how that secondary is gonna look this year, who takes a step up and leads this team.
But as far as the signing of Kyler Murray, I think it is a good signing, a much needed signing.
He's a mobile quarterback, so adds another flair to that offense.
I mean, but in the NFC North, I think it's really about one team, and most people will think it's the Bears after last year, what they did.
Maybe the Lions, it's finally their season, right?
I think it's the Pack.
I mean, I like what they did on defense in free agency so far.
They, added Zaire Franklin, who is a tackle machine, led the NFL a few seasons tackling.
They added Javon Hargrave as well.
And I think those two signings, along with a full season of Micah Parsons, is definitely damaging to the rest of the division and a step up.
So as long as Jordan Love's not a turnover machine, all these receivers continue to take steps forward in Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden especially.
I think the Packers are a very dangerous team and probably the best bet to win the NFC North.
