Price aiming to expand role as RB1 for Seahawks
Kyle Dvorchak analyzes Jadarian Price's role as the starting running back for the Seattle Seahawks and how he could "earn trust from the coaching staff" in order to expand his role.

The Athletic's Andrew Destin believes Seahawks will feature running back Jahdarien Price, number 32 overall pick, specifically on early downs while backup running back George Holani plays on third downs, potentially on short yardage and goal line situations as well.
I think as far as the passing stuff goes, Destin made the fairly obvious point that it's going to be hard for Price to get on the field on passing downs if he's not trusted in pass pro.
Price was one of PFF's worst graded running backs last year in college football, specifically in Pass Pro, and his entire college career he caught only 15 passes.
The entire career and just 15 passes.
Obviously, that comes with the caveat that he was playing alongside Jeremiah Love, and those Notre Dame teams were pretty run heavy in general.
But I will say his coll-college profile does generally lead me to believe, yeah, he's not gonna be playing on those passing downs.
He's not gonna be catching many passes.
I will also note at an RB24 cost, the number 32 overall pick who did have an explosive profile coming out of college, even if it wasn't a high volume profile, RB24 cost just is not that bad.
And I do think if you look at the George Holani body of work, which is to say there's not much of it, it would not surprise me if sure, in weeks one, two, three, he is getting the goal line work.
If Price looks good, I don't think he's a player you wanna take off the field specifically for goal line stuff.
He will eventually earn the trust of the coaching staff, again, if he looks good.
At RB24 cost, I'm willing to make the bet that this guy does end up looking good.
One final note is that Zach Charbonnet is not going to be on the field, at least for the first four weeks of the year.
Obviously, it could be much longer than that as he recovers from a torn ACL.
He would be a bigger threat to goal line work.
But at RB24 cost, I know I'm reiterating that barely an RB2, that's just a problem for me to tackle in November or December.
I'm kind of buying Price right now if he's this cheap
