Talk about your role as a leader and a veteran in leading that defensive backfield, please.

Um, it just ain't even me, it's just everybody in the DB room, so it's all of us.

It's just not one person.

It's me, it's, uh, TJ, it's Chen, it's Zay.

It's all of us.

Like we're all just trying to put our own input in it and just go ahead and help the young guys where we're not like we try to help them out with the same mistakes that we made and stuff and just make sure that they don't make the same thing.

Last year you had mentioned that you guys were trying to blend some defenses and it took a while to come together.

How do you feel like this year's defense is coming together with Rob Leonard's division?

Oh, it's coming along good.

Uh, he's very detailed into everything that he wants, and then even if you, even if you get a little confused or whatever, he's quick to go ahead and stop the mean, do any little thing, go ahead and make sure everybody on the same page, and you want everybody to be clear with everything to where ain't no in insider.

Uh, we're playing like this, we're doing like this.

How do you see it and all that stuff at all.

So it's just, it's just everything to where like now it's a better, it's a better understanding.

Uh, it was huge to where, like, that's why I always say like you already know the first game, especially for a lot of young guys, they go out there and they do a lot of things that they ain't probably never did before, go right back to the same bases or whatever, and after like the second game we all played like how, we know that we're capable.

We was able to, everybody's able to do their technique better and all stuff like that because you got the butterflies out of the way.

You got the first nerves and all the stuff out of pretty much out of the way.

Now it's pretty much bat the ball and especially it helped even better to where we had a joint practice with them, uh, so, so the young guys was able to see how they was able to move and all that stuff at all and just build that comfort.

That's the only thing everything is, is pretty much about week in and week out, just continuing to feel comfortable.

Eric knows what it's like to go through.

and to you kind of think about shaking the rest off and going through his own process.
