What's the best match for you like playing at safety going against him, him diagnosing your defense?
What's about the the rookie DBs rookie DBs?
What stood up to you about them?
Oh, I mean today they were making plays, a whole bunch of plays on the ball, you know what I'm saying?
It's just, uh, you got Stokes who's, I feel like he's flying around the field.
Like how he moves on the field is, is very impressive to me.
The defense is getting a lot of praise.
Players like, you know, Hezekiah and Jeremy, would you say that the leadership in that group plays a big part in that?
Who would you say the biggest leader is?
Uh, I think, I think Jeremy, um, is, is, is a really good leader.
Um, he's just, uh, he's vocal in the fact that he plays every, every position.
I feel like that helps a lot too.
Going back to you playing safety out here, what are some of the nuances that.
Uh, just being in the deep areas of the field, um, alerting push calls, shove calls, things like that where the play takes a little bit more time to develop versus being closer to the line of scrimmage.
So I feel like being back and, and seeing the whole field just kind of gives you more time to react.
You've gotten a lot of reps with Zeke Masses in the first team.
How has he been like so far with his training?
Oh man, he's been, he's been solid, you know what I'm saying?
I, I just feel like, uh, just continuing to get better every single day.
You, uh, you missed a little bit of time in the spring.
Did you feel like you were able to make up that ground pretty quickly?
I honestly, I did.
I mean, I was working out, uh, in the spring, not necessarily here, but when I got here, I felt like I was, I was.
Ready to go, um, just getting little details that I feel like I got in the spring that I was able to pick up, uh, onto into training camp.
You're going up against Kirk Cousins, veteran quarterback who's been in this league for a long time.
What's the best match for you, like playing at safety, going against him, him diagnosing your.
Yeah, um, just making sure that we're not making it easy on him, just trying to give him different looks and, uh, if I'm showing down, uh, but I gotta get back.
If there's things that I have to do, I might have to be a little uncomfortable where I have to play the post but still show down.
So just not making it easy for him.
What's it been like to see him operate this offense and, uh, it's been good.
I mean, he's a veteran quarterback.
Like he's been in the league over 10 years, you know what I'm saying?
And it shows like he has command of the offense and he knows where to go with the ball.
What can you say about the culture being established here?
Robbie Leonard as well.
Uh, I mean, I think the culture is building well, you know, um, I wasn't here before that, but, uh, all I can do is compare it to where I've been, and I feel like we're heading in the right direction for sure.
You've got, you've got Rob Leonard, your new defensive coordinator, doing it for the first time.
Then you've got Joe Woods, who's an experienced defensive coordinator as your defensive backs coach.
How, how beneficial is that to have a guy who's experienced, having done it before, working with a young guy who's.
Yeah, I mean, uh, Joe's an OG, you know what I'm saying, so he's, he's been around the way for a long time.
He's been in this league for a long time.
So just having a guy like that, I feel like it's huge for the mental aspect of it and I'm sure for Rob as well.
