Robbie, I know you didn't get to see him in the spring much, but Jermaud McCoy, you got to love that athleticism, of course.
Like I said, you know, sticks, I think it's pretty glaring and individual.
I just want to see him progress.
He's he's an exciting prospect.
Zeke Masters been working with the ones a little bit too.
What have you seen him?
Yeah, I mean, it truly is competitive from the ones, the twos, the threes.
We're really trying to be, make it a fair competition, but, uh, he's, he's controlling everything he can.
He has that good balance right now of being humble as a rookie, but being confident enough in, uh, what we're asking him to do, go out next, not scared to make a play.
Doing a good job.
Oh, that's coming back.
This is his first time.
So in December, yeah.
He's, he's so steady.
I'm like Max is Max, you know what I mean?
Like he, he loves football and uh.
I just think in terms of, coaches talking about the team first approach and him embracing that and really connecting with everybody.
Uh, talking about, you know, all the things behind the scenes like talking to a player one on one, he's been very intentional about and uh.
And being a leader.
You mentioned in OTA's mandatory minicamp, if you're going to make a mistake, make it fast.
Have you seen those guys reciprocate that and understand that?
I, I have for the most part.
It's like, um, you know, you want to coach, you want to feel comfortable and uh we talk about, you know, in the offseason was a lot of what I would call lecture of like these are techniques and this is exactly what we're asking for, but, you know, now I'm trying to press, you know, player-led defense.
I want them to have control.
Whatever we're doing out there.
Make a decision and we'll talk about as you learn the strengths and weaknesses of the decision you make, you know, why we're trying to do that.
I think the why is a big thing that that we're emphasizing right now.
