This is these guys' jobs.
This is our jobs as coaches, and You should have those butterflyfly feelings and if you don't, sometimes to me, it means you're not ready.
You know, thus far, they've showed us they're a mature group that, you know, they want to go win games the right way.
Clint, there, for young coaches, there's so much learning about the head coaching, whether it's when to throw the red flag here and from upstairs.
Uh, Mike McCoy, you know, Rohit, Joe De Camila, um, you know, we're all, we spend a lot of time together.
Our coordinators talking through situations and how things are gonna play out and the mechanics of, of all those things that you discussed and , you know, you can't, uh, you can't duplicate the game.
You need to go do it in the preseason and we gotta go.
Uh, make sure our communication is very crisp, and we're on point and ready for situations before they occur.
That's what the offseasons about and we spend a lot of time with that.
So, uh, You know, we're going to get put to the test on Thursday , so we got to go do our jobs.
Will there, uh, will there be any limitations on Jermad, um, when he goes out on the field on Thursday?
I think, you know, Jermad is, he's, he's been practicing almost every day we've been out there, so we expect him to play.
We expect him to compete and look forward to watching him play.
And he, he said that when he gets out on the field, it's going to be an emotional moment for him to, to get out on the field after, you know, such a long time off.
How do you manage that for a player who's kind of going through those emotions?
Well, I think, uh, I think it's all about how we practice, you know, we're not gonna ask him to do anything in the game he hasn't done in practice.
Um, I'm really, uh, really excited for him, you know, he's worked his tail off to get to this moment and I just, you know, want him to go be himself.
He'll be the best version of himself on Thursday night.
Clay guys talked about this week how they felt like there's gonna be a little extra feeling even though it is practice tonight.
Do you want them to have that extra juice or do you not want them to make it too big of what it may be, just being inside the stadium.
Um, you know, I guess it's professional football, so like every practice and every, you know, every preseason game and every stadium practice, they should all feel really big, you know, it's, this is these guys' jobs.
This is our jobs as coaches and, uh, You should have those butterflyfly feelings, and if you don't, sometimes to me, it means you're not ready.
If it's, you're not nervous about it, if you don't have a little anxiety, it probably doesn't mean as much to you.
So I think that's a good thing to have those feelings.
