Raiders in No Rush to Replace Kirk Cousins With Fernando Mendoza

Kirk Cousins keeps the keys in Las Vegas. Insider Dan Graziano reports that the Raiders are in no hurry to start top draft pick Fernando Mendoza, even after Clint Kubiak pulled Cousins in the second half of a 45-17 blowout loss to the New England Patriots. That came right after a 30-27 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which dropped the Raiders from 3-0 to 3-2. The team likes getting Mendoza, last year's Heisman Trophy winner at Indiana, some reps while staying patient with him. Through five starts, Cousins has 1,269 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions.
