Ryan Williams' BIG Offseason Has Alabama Ready for a Breakout Year
Rob Gregson explains why Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams could be poised for a massive 2026 season after a major offseason transformation. Williams' teammates believe the young star is ready to take his game to another level for the Crimson Tide.

At the SEC Media Days on Wednesday, I asked Ryan Coleman-Williams what went into this off-season of change.
He changed his name, obviously, to Coleman-Williams.
He changed his number from number two to number one.
He decided really to change his entire off-season routine, where instead of going back to home, Mobile, Alabama, he stayed in Tuscaloosa.
He got his training in.
Obviously, he got married.
So I asked him what went into all that, what was the reason behind all that, what came of all that change, and he basically said that it was a growth phase in his career and in his development.
And he would go on, when he went on to the SEC Now s- stage, to talk about what the marriage has done for him and how he can just focus on ball and be locked in for the 2026 season.
And I think that Ryan Coleman-Williams is going to be a completely different player.
I think he's not only going to look like his freshman self, he's going to look better than what he did as a freshman.
And that's not just me saying it, that's not just me listening to him, that's me listening to his teammates, because Xavien Brown was asked who he thinks is going to be a breakout player for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and I kid you not, he said Ryan Coleman-Williams.
And he said, "I know he had a good freshman year, but you guys have no idea what RCW is about to do.
You have no idea how hard he's been working, how diligent he's been in his off-season prep.
He is going to light the SEC and the nation on fire."
So season of change for Ryan Coleman-Williams.
We'll see if it means a big year in store for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
