So taking a look at the San Francisco Giants positional outlook for the twenty twenty-six season.
and, and, you know, taking a look at the DH spot, certainly, you know, this is one of the, you know, the, the probably one of the better positions for the San Francisco Giants.
Obviously, this isn't necessarily a position that someone's playing out on the, on the field, a- as you know, this is a hitter-only position.
but certainly, you know, for the San Francisco Giants, you know, there's going to be two main options, especially for, you know, top prospect Bryce Eldridge.
so certainly, you know, taking a look, you know, they're going to have Rafael Devers, who was, the DH for this-- the Boston Red Sox last year, in that whole debacle.
But, also, the, the Giants are going to have Bryce Eldridge, who is the Giants' number one prospect within their organization.
and, you know, obviously, the, the con-- the main concern for, you know, probably a guy like Devers to be the main, DH, is going to be the fact that, you know, he's not known as a particularly strong defender.
you know, this is probably, you know, the, the, the main reason why he, he would probably be put at the DH spot, i- is certainly, you know, because Eldridge is likely a better defender than, than Devers.
but, you know, if, if you had to, to put it i- in, into the, the, for the organization, certainly, you know, going forward, I, I think a guy like, Devers is probably making the most sense for the Giants in this particular situation.
certainly, you know, the, the Giants have, you know, a, a, a great deal of talent within their organization.
but certainly, you know, getting that bat, especially since Devers is, is really that's, that's what he's known for, i- is his-- is that bat.
And certainly, you know, just having him focusing on, his offensive output, just that alone certainly probably would make him a better hitter.
but, you know, also, you know, he has, you know, expressed in the past, that he really doesn't want to be a DH only.
and, you know, this is really where a guy like Bryce Eldridge is likely, you know, able to take a position out of opening day, while, you know, it's probably, more likely that he's going to start off in Triple A. but, you know, certainly, you know, this, this certainly opens the gate for a guy like Bryce Eldridge to make, sort of, you know, the, the, open the competition up, you know, for a play or, a spot on the roster, going into spring training.
But, certainly, you know, that that's a very interesting case.
but, you know, likely for, for, the Giants, it's probably going to be Rafael Devers and then some sort of, you know, tandem with, Eldridge in between.
a- and, you know, the main thing with, DH i- is certainly, you know, this, this is a very interchangeable position.
you know, there's not going to be a specific, player that's gonna be playing this position the whole season.
you know, likely it's going to be Devers if that's the case.
but certainly, you know, th- this is a very interchangeable spot in the, in the Giants' order, and certainly something to pay attention to sort of as spring training gets rolling.
