Bryce Eldridge of San Francisco Giants Placed in MLB Prospects List
First baseman Bryce Eldridge could have breakout season for San Francisco Giants as he's listed as the No. 23 top MLB prospect.

San Francisco Giants get ready to go to spring training for the 2026 Major League Baseball season.
First baseman Bryce Eldridge remains one of the team's top prospects, if not the top prospect right now.
Last season, Eldridge saw some action with the big league club.
And he's been trying to get his game in shape.
He's, obviously, a a talented player, a lot of upside for the Giants, and could be the the center point, if you will, of the Giants' nucleus for a long time to come.
Now, he's had to work on his game in Double-A ball, Triple-A ball, and the Giants have kind of whipsawed him around the past couple of seasons.
And it's led Keith Law of The Athletic, who wrote a long article about the top MLB prospects for 2026, to wonder if this shifting of, of Eldridge so much might have affected his overall mindset or ability to play in the field and hit at the plate.
So, one thing you need to look at for Eldridge is his whiff rate on, on breaking balls.
His, he-- it, It's not good.
He's, he's, he.
That, that, that number is is not a positive number.
So it's something he needs to work on during spring training and into the season.
Now, he's also going to be under the 1st year, like all the Giants are.
Under the first year under manager Tony Vitello, who's coming over after being University of Tennessee's baseball program.
So Vitello may have an idea of what he wants to see out of Eldridge, too, and that might be another element of Eldridge's game that might have to be adjusted entering this season.
Still, Eldridge remains a top prospect.
He's a heck of a great player.
He proved his ability to play last season.
Looks forward to even becoming a better ballplayer for the coming season with the Giants.
