San Francisco Giants Positional Preview: Left Field

So certainly when you're taking a look at the Giants', outfield going into twenty twenty-six, left field is certainly, you know, one of the positions that you can certainly say has improved, for them, going into the next year.
while there hasn't been, you know, a whole lot of, acquisitions in terms of left field, you know, players, but certainly, you know, looking at the outfield, depth across the board, it certainly has gotten a lot better.
and, and, you know, will likely be an improving factor heading into the next year.
for many who may not know, Harrison Bader, recently signed a two-year contract with the San Francisco Giants to be their center fielder, which essentially moved, Jung Hoo Lee, to right field, to sort of, you know, play that position for the Giants going forward.
but you know, for that, you know, you already have two everyday outfielders a- at those two positions.
so the likelihood of, for the Giants at least, certainly, you know, is going to be more so of a platoon role.
while they do have, you know, offensive capabilities with Heliot Ramos, who was one of the, you know, probably better hitting offensive left fielders last season.
certainly, you know, there are, you know, downsides to his game.
most certainly, you know, at, you know, with his defense.
he, he, you know, he, he's always been a very decent hitter.
but you know, in terms of, you know, his defensive attributes, certainly that has, you know, been the one knock on his game.
certainly, you know, is very good against left-handed hitting, is, is decent against righties.
but you know, he, he is likely, you know, looking like a, a platoon role certainly for, you know, the next season.
but you know, the, the Giants also are likely to see, you know, Drew Gilbert, who was called up last year, certainly see some playing time.
you know, the, the likelihood is probably going to be something of those na- of that nature.
but you know, a majority of that playing time is going to go to Ramos, who, you know, offensively is one of the better left fielders in the game.
Certainly, you know, for a Giants lineup that is looking to improve, you know, they're gonna need a handful of, you know, really good players at that offensive, you know, to, to really help that lineup.
And, and Ramos is certainly one of those players that can help them.
but you know, in terms of defensive attributes, certainly, Drew Gilbert is a lot better, in that regard.
Offensively, he did struggle last year, at some points in the season, but, you know, he, he really, you know, didn't have a whole lot of in- of, of experience in terms of that.
but certainly for the Giants going forward, you know, Heliot Ramos is looking like the starter going into next year.
