The price is also interesting in this one here too, Tom.
I mean, can we trust the Marlins at home?
They've looked pretty decent over the weekend against, the Nats.
Yeah, this is, certainly, a, an interesting spot.
You know, over what is, the last 30 days or so, like Sandy has been downright great, and I know this recent- Ooh start against the Phillies, it, it wasn't, it wasn't everything he wanted to be.
But, you know, a plus money price on this, I think is really interesting.
You know, frankly, I think I'm not sold on the Marlins overall, so this might be just a first five scenario if you wanna, if you wanna trust Sandy to get in, like do his thing, take care of business.
And, you know, ultimately you're gonna say like, "Hey, the Red Sox are the better team.
I know they haven't been, you know, blowing the doors off everyone as, as they were a month ago, but they're still the better team when it's all said and done.
Give me the first five with Sandy and then I'll wash my hands and I can walk away.
Whatever happens happens."
Yeah, I, I mean, what is the now that you've had a chance here, 'cause there's still the jury's out on whether Crochet's coming back before, by the postseason.

there's still, you know, it's great when they don't tell you.
And it's the same thing with Judge, like is he coming back, is he not coming back?
Like what, what are we doing here?
But Boston is interesting 'cause if they do get Crochet back, Roman Anthony on his way back, what's the ceiling for this Red Sox team as they sit there at, with the second wild card spot, with 71 wins on the season?
What, what is the ceiling in your mind with this Red Sox team?
The ceiling for the Red Sox is, I'm gonna say the same ceiling as it is for the Rays and the Yankees, is that one of those- Ooh three teams, like there's no guarantees in sports, Joe, as we all know.
But like one of those three teams is absolutely gonna be representing the AL when it comes to the wild card.
Like the, the Astros are frauds.
They're te- the, the Rangers can't win more than one or two games in a row.
We're not trusting the White Sox or the Guardians or Seattle's not gonna make a run.
We can't trust it.
Like the three best teams in the AL are the Rays, the Yankees, and the Red Sox.
So the ceiling for them is depending on how the bracket shakes out for the MLB postseason, the ceiling is for the Red Sox to get to the ALCS and win that and be representing, the team when it comes to the world, the AL when it comes to the World Series.
And frankly, there were some quotes from Garrett Crochet like, two weeks ago or so when he said that, he would be willing to come out of the bullpen in the, the postseason.
Because frankly, Peyton Talley, Sonny Gray, and Ranger Surez could be your one, two, three, and then if you're s- uncertain about a four, you use Garrett Crochet.
You have an opener, and then use Garrett Crochet as a piggyback.
That could work for the Red Sox.
Yeah.
Consistency.
The bullpen, you convinced with Chapman in the back end?
I mean, Whitlock I thought was a big loss, but, are you- buying the, the back end of that bullpen?
Some days yes, some days no.
It's the same thing with their offense.
It's crazy.
It's like they, they're, they're a hot and cold team.
Yeah.
But when they're hot, like they could go into a, a, the wild card series and they could sweep that team.
They also could lo- they could also- Yep get swept, where it's like it's where the Red Sox are.
So if they could roll into a wild card and they would be playing the third of the division winners, right?
The, the third of that, none, because obviously the Rays would get the bye.
Like if they roll, like White Sox, Red Sox, Red Sox, Rangers, if the Rangers Like I'm taking the Red Sox in all those series.
Yeah, yeah, especially against, you're, you're right, the mid to the And the American League, we have said it, is just atrocious on so many different levels.

It's not even, it's not even funny, but it does feel like that's the cut, right?
Who is- And I still think there's time here, Tom.
There, there is- Oh, yeah who's gonna be that team in the final 30 games that's going to get red hot and ride it into the postseason?
And it may not be from the American League, by the way.
It might be in the National League, but- you know, you look at a team like the Red Sox where maybe they get some reinforcements back here, but- Right I, c- are the Twins capable of rattling off, you know- winning nine of 10?
I- is it the Guardian?
Like who, who can we trust, especially in American League side, to get hot at the right moment?
It, it would just be the Red Sox.
Like I, the Yankees- Yeah are gonna make it, the Rays are gonna make it.
I can't trust any of these lower tier American League teams.
Like the three teams that come to mind overall for bringing the NL into it, it'd be the Red Sox, the Phillies are super hot right now, and then the Diamondbacks.
And I know the Diamondbacks have a lot going on- Yeah with Ketel Marte's situation, and that's its own story.
But the Diamondbacks are a somewhat proven team.
Like they were in the World Series just a couple of years ago.
They didn't get it done, but they got hot.
Yeah.
They won on the road, they won games, they beat Philly.
So those are the three teams I keep thinking about.
The Padres I'm a little bit unsure of, but man, something about the Diamondbacks and that momentum that they have, it could be them, the Phillies, or the Red Sox as one of the, you know, lower tier teams to, to really make a run in the postseason.
