Scottie Scheffler was presented with hand-painted flag at Royal Birkdale this week to commemorate his 2025 Open win.

Had a chance to talk to Scottie on Friday at the Genesis Scottish Open, and yes, he was disappointed to miss the cut, but he was not dejected.
He said that he played better than his scores indicated, but still he did not play the weekend, at least in Scotland.
You see, on Saturday, he made his way to England, and on Sunday he was on property here at Royal Birkdale.
He played all 18 holes alongside his good friend Gary Woodland.
He had never seen Royal Birkdale before until this past Sunday, so missing the cut, yes, disappointing, but may have been a blessing in disguise because he was able to do a lot of homework on that Sunday.
On Monday, today, he was back out on the golf course.
He played the closing nine holes alongside Gary Woodland once again.
I did walk a few holes with Scottie.
I could tell you he's in good spirits.
He was laughing and, and needling his buddy Gary along the way.
And I asked him what he thought about the golf course after seeing all 18.
He said, quote here, "It gives you a lot of options off the tee whether you wanna challenge the bunkers or not."
Overall, he thinks this golf course is really good.
And a really neat moment, after he completed his nine-hole practice round, on the 18th hole, he was presented a flag from last year's Open Championship at Royal Portrush, and you see that picture of him holding the Claret Jug.
That is a hand-painted picture with wonderful detail, and it was given to Scottie by the R&A, and I can promise you that'll be in a frame hanging in his house in Dallas.
As for Rory McIlroy, well, he did play the weekend, making the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open, and after his 64 on Sunday, he made his way here to England, and today at around lunchtime, he came out to the golf course, went to the play, player practice area, went through some drills with his longtime swing coach Michael Bannon before playing a few holes on the golf course.
Now, in regards to Rory's play, again, he shot a 64 on Sunday in the final round and went north on the leaderboard, but after his round, he said, "I scored well, but I didn't play very well."
And he wants to clean up some things Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before the ball gets rolling here in the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
