Hey everyone, Taryn Kovach here from Roundtable Sports, for a quick Seattle Mariners update.

So while the Mariners were in Baltimore, preparing for, and playing, game two of their four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles and ultimately winning it by a score of six to five in extra innings, Cal Raleigh, starting catcher, was playing his second rehab game on his, current assignment, his first with the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers.

He began his rehab assignment with the high A Everett Aquasox on Sunday, but due to the Aquasox now heading on the road and, Raleigh, and the team wanting R- Raleigh to stay rehabbing the Pacific Northwest, they opted to reassign him to Triple-A.

for those of you that, weren't following or didn't catch Raleigh's first rehab start, or first rehab game, play designated hitter for the Aquasox went one for three, the one hit being a single.

in his, first rehab game with the Rainiers on Tuesday, which was a 15 to three win against the Albuquerque Isotopes, Raleigh went two for three, had two runs and six RBIs.

As you can probably guess by the number of RBIs, both his, hits were home runs, the first being a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning, and the second being a grand slam in the bottom of the fifth.

So pretty good sign for not only Raleigh, but for the Mariners that he was able to have that kind of power, and not only that he was able to have that power, but that he had it while playing catcher as opposed to exclusively DH like he did Sunday.

currently, the plan for Raleigh is for him to play out the remainder of this home stand for the Rainiers in Tacoma, which extends through June 14th, and if things go well, be activated in time for the Mariners', next home stand, which begins June 16th against the Baltimore Orioles.

And, n- no reports on whether or not the Mariners could have him catch a flight to Baltimore or to Washington to close out this current road trip that they're on, sooner than that.

but from the looks of things, it seems like Raleigh's oblique strain is feeling better.

It's kind of put behind him now, and if, what he's done so far in his rehab assignment is a sign of things to come, he also might snap out of the cold streak he was on before landing on the shelf.
