Shedeur Sanders Hires an Agent, Raising Questions About a Browns Trade Request

Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has signed with Adie von Gontard of Young Money APAA Sports, Adam Schefter reported Wednesday. Sanders went through draft night and his early NFL career without an agent, and the move could point to a trade request. Cleveland is 3-2 heading into its Week 6 game against Baltimore, with Deshaun Watson holding the starting job he won in the summer competition. A request is still uncertain, though. The Browns don't have to move Sanders, a 2025 fifth-round pick, and his low salary means a trade wouldn't save them much. Von Gontard also represents Sanders' former Colorado teammate Travis Hunter.
