TCU Horned Frogs discuss their Cornerback room
TCU Horned Frogs coach Benny Boyd discusses their cornerback room. Boyd talks about their cornerback room especially cornerbacks Gil Jackson and Vernon Glover. Boyd even called Jackson a "unicorn" and praised both of the players highly.

We've got a pretty athletic cornerback room, uh, starting with Gill.
I mean, there's not very common to see a 6'3, 200 pound corner out there.
What, what's your thoughts on how Gill's performed at spring camp and, and how Vernon's playing as well?
Yeah, both of them are still a work in progress.
They're willing, uh, but I tell you what, man, having tools like Gil has, uh, and a mentality like Vern has, those are, those are great attributes to have at our position.
Gil's a unicorn.
A 6'3 guy that can move like that, that is physical, and then the best part about Gittles how coachable that he is, he's a unicorn.
You just don't find guys like that.
Now again, it's a work in progress, we have a long way to go to get to where we need to be, but the ceiling, there really isn't one, there really isn't one, and so that's exciting.
Uh, for Vern, it's about being able to hone in on his skills, being able to tap into his leadership as the guy that's played the most football here in the room.
We have a couple of transfers that have played some football in different places, but he's the guy that's run out the Carter and got it done before.
And so helping him to continue to grow his game, but also be a leader, so the other guys in the room, young guys and old guys can see how it's done.
Uh, so just challenging him to be a model of consistency every day in terms of how he approaches all of his business, not just in the building but also when he's outside of it.
So again just a work in progress, but uh challenging those guys, you know, the burden of talent is leadership.
Meaning if you're a good player, you got to be a leader and so helping those guys learn how to do that has been um something that we've been focused on daily.
