TCU Horned Frogs discuss their physicality during spring ball
TCU Horned Frogs Coach Sonny Dykes discusses their physicality during spring ball. Dykes talks about how it has been good but they need to get better at it, and how physicality is very important to winning games. Dykes seems positive about the team on both sides of the ball.

Physicality has been a big part of practice so far.
How do you feel the team is?
Yeah, you know, um, I think it's been good.
I mean, that's something that we got to get better at, you know, that's.
This is, uh, it's football, you know what I mean?
And, and usually the most physical team wins the game, just the way it is.
The team that makes the fewest mistakes and, and plays the most physical has a tendency to win.
And, and so we, we're trying desperately to become that team.
You're always walking the fine line between what's too much banging and what's not enough.
The same thing with live tackling.
Um, it can be a little bit frustrating when you get in a scrimmage situation like we did today and you're trying to thud it up and, You know, we've got officials and they're trying to figure out where do you spot the ball, where do you not spot the ball.
I mean, it's just a little bit.
Um, You know, kind of uneven when you do that.
But, uh, but yeah, it's, I, I, we're headed the right direction, you know, uh, on both sides of the ball.
You know, I think, uh, when you look at it up front defensively, you know, I'm liking what I'm seeing from, from our, our down linemen, you know, Anel, I think has been incredibly physical, has played really hard.
Tristan's done some really good things, you know, Marcus has been great.
I mean, it's just been, it's been fun to watch those guys continue to develop and.
Kelton's been good and and all those guys really, so it's been, it's been fun to watch, um.
You know, it's a daily process, you know, especially with some of the young linemen.
You know, we've got some young guys that are kind of working their way into, into the mix and just understanding the physical nature of the game and, and being able to bang consistently and, and, uh, show up the next day and find a way to get through it.
And, and those guys are learning to do it and we're nowhere close to where we need to be, long way to go, but, but again, the want to is there.
I think the mentality is there.
We just got to continue to bang on those guys.
