Teams will want veteran RB Jones at 'right price'
Kyle Dvorchak and Denny Carter expect plenty of teams to have interest in Aaron Jones after his release from the Vikings, who will likely have "limited" fantasy value in 2026 no matter where he lands.

Espn's Adam Schefter reports the Vikings are likely to release veteran running back Aaron Jones before the new league year if they can't swing a trade, for the veteran.
I guess, you know, this brings to mind, Kyle, his injury history, his recent struggles, as a producer, not so much through the air, but on the ground.
wanted to ask you, how many teams are gonna be interested in a, running back entering his age 32 season in 2026?
I think a lot of teams will be interested just for the right price.
I mean, frankly, I think the Vikings really wanted to keep him.
I know he was really well-respected in the locker room.
They just really needed the, nearly $8 million in cap savings that cutting him gets much more than they needed him on the team.
And like you said, he's a 32-year-old running back coming off of, by most accounts, his worst season in all of the efficiency metrics, especially those on the ground, as you pointed out, of his career, right?
He's just not the same Aaron Jones we were seeing in 2020, 2021, even in his first year with the Vikings.
So to me, I still think he has value, but he has value more so the way Austin Ekeler did in 2024- where the touch totals were very limited for Ekeler that year.
But there's still some juice to be squeezed out of that if you use him in the right spots.
Now, what does that mean for Aaron Jones' fantasy outlook?
It's probably pretty limited in 2026, but I do think he'll at least find a landing spot.
I do too.
I mean, he could fit in as maybe, you know, the Jerick McKinnon role in Kansas City.
