Tennessee Picks Carnell Tate, Adds Offensive Strength
The Tennessee Titans boosted the weapons arsenal for Cam Ward by landing Carnell Tate with the 4th pick, tapping into Ohio State's rich receiver legacy.

So if you're gonna take a receiver, which they did, I mean, you just Until s- one of them's not successful you're gonna keep doing it.
And I think Carnell Tate gives Cam Ward a go-to guy.

I mean, I thought Cleveland was gonna get Carnell Tate in this spot.
Now, this works two ways though.
Cleveland doesn't panic, you know?

They get Spencer Fanua.
They get a tackle that hasn't, haven't allowed a sack.
They get, use their second pick to get a receiver, and they get Casey Concepcion, a guy who gets open, tied for the SEC lead in touchdowns, and offered something in the return game.
So yeah, I mean, I just You trust Ohio State receivers, and I think that's gonna continue to happen because after Jeremiah Smith you're gonna have Brandon Innis, and then you're gonna have Chris Henry Jr., and then they're gonna Whoever's in the recruiting pipeline now, it, it's, it's an unbelievable run of receivers that they've had, under Ryan Day, and I look for that to continue.
So the We missed the Emeka Egbuka- Yeah and then the reigning offensive player of the year in Jackson Smith and Jigba.

One of the things they were saying about him in the, evaluations last night was he's This is his chance to be a number one.
And then you look at Tennessee's depth chart and you're, "Yeah."
Wow.
"This is the chance for him to go be a number one with Cam Ward, and learn, and grow, and improve."
And like he said, he's like, "I'm always open."
And that's Well, have you, have you ever You guys are defensive guys.
You never met a receiver that didn't say they were always open, right?
