Thomas recalls 2018 PGA at Bellerive with Tiger and Rory
Justin Thomas joined Smylie Kaufman for "Happy Hour with Smylie presented by Michelob Ultra," and talks about Bellerive as a host and the insanely large crowd at the 2018 PGA Championship.

You're playing with Tiger and Rory the first couple downs.
Have you ever played in front of that many people?
It was insane.
Yeah, I, both of these pictures I have saved in my phone.
It was hands down the most people I've ever played in front of.
You know, I'm just, I'm telling myself they were all out here for me.
It definitely wasn't for Tiger and Rory, but i- it was awesome, man.
I think St. Louis is, is a, you know, it kind of reminds me a little bit of like, you know, how Louisville gets, you know, having, tournaments at Valhalla, like the people that come out and, and show out.
It's, it's, you know, I think the Midwest is a little bit sports, sports town, sports vibes.
And, yeah, the, I mean, I would Sahith and I were shocked yesterday.
Teeing off first we're like, "There's a lot of people following us right now."
So, great, great crowds at this place.
And what are your memories of how Bellerive played in 2018?
You played well, r- really had a chance on that back nine.
Is it pretty similar than, your memories from back in '18?
Yeah, it, it is.
I, I feel like the greens are a little quicker, this week than they were at the PGA in '18, but, we d- we had some rain.
It's just, they're kind of handcuffed in the sense of you As you know, I mean, when you get bent grass and when it's this hot and humid, you can't get it firm.
A- and let alone you can't get it, you can't not get it really soft is w- more important.
So, you know, I think, it's, it's a situation where you have a chance if it was, like, in a September or something in the fall where it could get firm, it really, really would play so different and interesting.
But, you know, in this humidity, there's only so much you can do to the golf course.
Is this a playoff mustache, by the way, going?
I'm just kind of noticing this- I don't know, man for the first time.
I, that, yeah.
D- Jill brought that up the other, the other night.
She's like, "Why, why the mustache?"
And I'm just like, "Jill, it's hard to explain, that we will do anything for some momentum."
