Trade Market For Blues' Brayden Schenn Is Heating Up; Golden Knights Linked To Blues Captain
The NHL's trade market is heating up, and one St. Louis Blues player who is beginning to garner serious interest is Brayden Schenn, with the Vegas Golden Knights currently linked to the 34-year-old captain.

Do you think he tries to ride it out with this group?
Well, you know, if you're a Blues fan, you certainly have to be frustrated.
You're probably starting to say, "Well, wake me up the last week of the season."
to see if they're going to make it or not, because this is definitely a pattern.
This was certainly not the way Doug Armstrong wanted to go out this season.
So, I think he certainly could try to make at least a deal or two.
Is it going to be an all-out fire sale?
I don't know about that, and I don't think he's gonna fire Jim Montgomery.
Certainly not this season.
He just brought him in.
You know, Jordan Kyrou has been in trade rumors for I don't know how long.
But he's still there.
You know, you bring in Montgomery, You barely made the playoffs last year.
Now, if you read our Goalie Issue of The Hockey News: There's a nice piece on Robert Thomas and how confident he was this group could take.
That momentum from last year, carry it over to this season.
Well, that clearly hasn't happened, at least not yet.
And Montgomery, trying to pump in some AC/DC music and other.
You know, heavy tunes during practice to try to get some energy.
You know, it's clear they're in desperation mode right now.
And they should be, because you don't have time to wait around in a division Central, although there's a number of teams that will be fighting for the top.
But yeah, it has to be frustrating if you're the Blues and their fans, just You know how often they seem to do this.
They start slowly, And then they try to make a run in the end, but you can't do that every year.
