UFC confirms partnership with sanctioning body to regulate White House event

The UFC secured independent oversight for its planned White House fight card after a permitting dispute raised sanctioning questions in Washington, D.C. Because the event sits on federal land, the D.C. Commission said a $100 permit was needed or the UFC White House event would be unsanctioned. The promotion partnered with the Association of Boxing Commissions to regulate Freedom 250, covering officials selection and athlete medical checks. ABC President Timothy Shipman detailed the scope of involvement. UFC executives Hunter Campbell and Marc Ratner will coordinate standards. The June 14 card includes Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane, and bouts featuring Sean O'Malley, Michael Chandler, Bo Nickal, and Diego Lopes.
