What's happening inside Uruguay, my friend?
We've been talking about it.
This team has been in the, you know, in the headlines about problems internally for a year.

It started when Surez didn't make the team.
He made it vocal.
Some people inside the team decided to revolt.
They were not successful in removing him.
Now they're facing the consequences of a f- broken relationship between players and the coach.
Now there is, like, openly fighting.
There was a reunion between the players, and many of them walk away from it because Bielsa was just talking to the floor, not making eye contact with anyone for 40 minutes, just explaining his ideas, disconnected from the players.
do you think that the players are gonna be able to gather themselves around their country beside the coach and give a good performance?
I would hope so.
Uruguay is a s- a s- it's, it's a star-full team.
Yes.
You know?
This is a team that has Bentancur.
They have Valverde.
You have Araujo.
So this is a team full of players that, you know, this You, you're expecting way better from this, and I think that, I mean, when you have a coach like Bielsa- Yes who has been winning tournaments so much over the years, he might have an ego, you know?
And so this is gonna, you know, it's gonna collide with the ego from- Yes the coach to the players, and it's gonna affect the chemistry, of course.
So I think that this game against Chile is probably gonna be the, our eye-opener to see- Yes how they're gonna reflect on, in, into the next few games of this tournament because if they don't pick it up right now, I mean, they're, they're cooked.
Some of the complaints is Bielsa brought players like Ronald Araujo that are clearly injured, and they haven't recovered, and they haven't played a single minute of football, arguing that there's some other players that maybe they were the better choice.
Now, one of the most critical positions at this stage is the goalkeeping position.
Fernando Muslera started the first two games for Uruguay, and many, many analysts and many people, you know, that know this game in and out have, you know, said that it was most likely their responsibility as a goalkeeper.
Those both goals he missed.
He's a goalkeeper that was out of retirement with the national team, had a really, really, really good season with Estudiantes, and suddenly he made himself back into the team.
Is it time for them to, to take a chance on one of the younger goalkeepers?

We have Sergio Rochet, El Nacional.
Do you think it's time to just give up?
We saw it in Mexico.
They didn't go in for brought Memo Ochoa, started h- him the first two games, and maybe we could have found ourselves in this situation.
I mean, it's tough because, you gotta look at both sides- Mm-hmm because there are teams that have older goalkeepers right in this tournament, like the one from Cabo Verde, from Curaao.
I mean, Muslera great in the first game, but then, like, you know Ah.
It's tough, but in the case of Mexico, like you said, I think it was a great move from them- Yeah to, you know, focus on the younger player, and then obviously Memo finishes off his career at La Azteca- Yeah where he, he, he started it all off.
So I honestly think it's, it's a tricky situation, but ultimately I think you gotta give it to the future because then you have situations like Chile.
What happened with Chile?

Golden generation lost.
They, the golden generation got and it stayed golden until it rusted- and, like, what are you gonna do?
When you focus- You do nothing on one team and you stick to that one team for so long until they're all old and wrinkly, like- of course they're not gonna perform, and then you're gonna be stuck with new players that don't know anything, so it's like- And the continuity of the coaches, right?
Because- Yeah that's the big problem in Latin America, where we just don't trust the process.
