USMNT's late loss to Turkiye is 'no big deal'
Dan Patrick considers the "bigger picture" for the U.S. Men's National Team, which topped Group D and qualified for the knockouts despite suffering a "disappointing" late loss to Turkiye.

Back to Team USA.
One of the better stories of the tournament, of course, home field advantage.
But while the loss was disappointing last night, especially a goal coming in the closing moments, in the bigger picture, the grand scheme of things, this doesn't affect the Americans reaching the knockout stage.
That was the goal.
Then all of a sudden you have reporters saying, "Well, you guys could've gone undefeated in, the group stage."
Coaches are saying, "Well, we didn't Who cares?
I mean, we can go undefeated and lose the next match.
Our goal was we're moving on, and we wanna be ready."
This is a good problem for Team USA to have.
We haven't, we haven't had this good problem before.
But Team USA still has every reason to believe it can make a deep run.
you know, good teams learn from victories.
Sometimes you'll get a win and it covers up some of the bad things you were doing.
With the loss, it may ultimately prove more valuable because maybe a wake-up call with some certain things that Team USA did and did not do.
But, 3-2 the final in that.
