We receive money from individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the year to help students at BTC. Our donors often have ties to the college because they are alumni, their business hires our graduates, or their organization supports education in our community.
The largest part of these funds go directly to scholarships and endowments, but we also help fund campus food pantries, emergency grants, student clubs, program equipment, class trips, and campus events. Chances are, at some point in your time at BTC, the Foundation will be there for you.
We hope that you are chosen for an award so we can learn more about you and hear how a scholarship has impacted your life. Applications are accepted April 15-June 30 . Click on the scholarships tab to learn more and get started.
The Bellingham Technical College Emergency Funding Program provides assistance to students who experience financial difficulties that impact their ability to continue their education. Funding is reserved for BTC students who experience unexpected expenses only. Students who meet eligibility criteria may submit an application for funds to the Student Financial Resources Office. The Emergency Funding committee reviews requests no later than one week after requests are received.
To see if you qualify and complete the application, visit the Financial Resources page at www.btc.edu/emergencyfunding
Did you know that there are food pantries for students on campus? The pantries are supported by donations from the foundation, BTC staff, and others. Students with an immediate need can access non-perishable single-serve food items for breakfast and lunch at various offices on campus. For locations and hours please contact the Student Life Director at 360.752.8587 or email asbtc@btc.edu .
The foundation has scholarships available for any type of student at BTC regardless of your program, GPA, citizenship, financial situation, or any other status.
