Thank you for your email, and checking in my blog of these days.
I didn't think you'd learn Japanese. I laughed that Emoji!
Just now, I'm reading the book about "Kanji & Japanese" written by a philology professor. It's very interesting.
Why am I reading this?
I wonder the situation of Japanese children have to Learn 3 kinds of letters from 7years old.
They're 2 of sound letters and 1 mean letter.
They called HIRAKANA and KATAKANA and KANJI.
You can see KANA is co-sounds. is made by Japanese.
KANJI, as you know, came from China about 2000years before.
But nowadays China lost and changed a lots of Kanji compared to Japan.
If you look at Kanji, you can understand the meaning. Isn't it nice?
Pattern.Yes!
So, I easily imagine you have had a lots of effort to learn Japanese.
Almost all foreigners start from KANA.I think it's not useful.
To read and understand directly, Kanji is a shortcut.
(Speaking is not this issue)
For instance,,川（kawa） means river.山（yama) means mountain.😉
