今日はアメリカを代表するアーティスト、ニール・ダイアモンドの誕生日。アメリカ、日本ともに大ベストセラーとなったリチャード・バック原作の「かもめのジョナサン」の映画化にあたり音楽を担当し、曲のほうも大ヒットした。人間はひとりも登場せずかもめが主人公の作品である。詩情あふれる、美しい映像と彼の音楽に酔った映画であった。その中から・・・「Be」を。It is a birthday of Neil Diamond who is an artist on behalf in U.S.A. today.He was in charge of music on filmizing "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", Richard Bach original, which became the large best seller in U.S.A and Japan and his music made a big hit,too.The work was that human being did not appear at all, gulls were the work of the chief characters.The poetic sentimental and beautiful picture and his music made me idolize.From that movie ... 今日は「カレーライスの日」遠藤賢司さんの名曲「カレーライス」は以前、ここでアップしたことがあるが今回は、直太朗とのコラボバージョンで。途中から弾かれているエンケンのギターは全てアドリブ。リハーサルとは違う内容なのに直太朗が必死にそれについていっているのが良い。It's "The day of curry and rice" today.I have taken up the famous song "Curry and Rice" by Kenji Endo before here, I'd like to introduce it in a colaboratory version with Notaro this time.What Enken played the guitar halfway were all his ad libs.I thoght it good that though it was contents unlike the rehearsal, Naotaro had better follow it desperately. ↓クリック♪ Click♪

ドーンの大ヒット曲「幸せの黄色いリボン」刑務所を出所した男が妻に宛てた手紙で「もし、まだ僕を愛していてくれるなら樫の木に黄色いリボンを結んでいて欲しい・・・」という歌詞の内容から映画「幸せの黄色いハンカチ」はこの曲をモチーフとして作られたものと、最初は思っていたが別の原作が元になっていたんだね。でも、この曲を聴くと日本映画賞を総なめにした高倉健さん主演のあの映画を想いだす。 Big hit song "Tie A Yellow Ribon Round The Old Oak Tree" by Dawn.From the lyrics that a man discharged from prison sent to his wife a letter was contained of the text "If you still want me, tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree...", I thoght at first that the Japanese movie "Shiawase no kiroi hankachi" was made this song as a motif but it was based on another original story.But I remember that movie which Ken Takakura played the leadhing part, made a clean sweep of prizes for Japanese movies when I listen to this song.↓クリック♪ Click♪

今日はランディ・ヴァンウォーマーが6年前に48歳の若さで遠い空へ旅立った日。初アルバムに収録されていた「Just When I Needed You Most」は彼が18歳の時に書かれたもので英米のみならず、日本でも大ヒットした。邦題は「アメリカン・モーニング」繊細で美しいファルセット・ヴォイスが彼の持ち味であった。Today six years ago, Randy VanWarmer has gone with 48-year-old youth. "Just When I Needed You Most" recorded in the first album, is the song that he wrote when he was 18 years old, made a big hit in not only Britain and the United States but also Japan.The title in Japanese is "American Morning".A delicate, beautiful falsetto voice was his characteristic. ↓クリック♪ Click♪

「真幸くあらば」の初日舞台挨拶
映画「真幸（まさき）くあらば」の初日に行ってきた。えらく難しいタイトルだが、これは万葉集からの引用。初日舞台挨拶ということで製作者の奥山和由さん主演の久保田将至さんと尾野真千子さん共演者のミッキー・カーチスさん脚本の高山由紀子さんそして・・・監督の御徒町凧（カイト）さんと音楽監督の森山直太朗が。奥山さんの挨拶では「この映画を観たある方が、陶酔感のある、まるで麻薬のような作品と評されていた。でもこの麻薬にやられた方は、森山直太朗さんのやさしい歌で癒してください。是非これからご覧になる映画で、合法的麻薬の世界を楽しんでください。観終わった後は人によって、色々な意見が出てくると思います。」と。そしてカイトにマイクが渡されるのであるが緊張しまくりでウダウダ（笑）コメントらしいものはなかったような気がする。彼はジーンズに殆ど普段着スタイル。進行役の女性からは皮肉ともとれる「今日は素敵なファッションですね。」なんて言われたりしている。ただ、途中でちょっと感心したのは・・・女優の尾野さんは自分のコメントが終わった後手にしていたマイクを隣にいる久保田さんに渡そうかどうしようか、早くマイクを誰かに渡したいというどぎまぎした雰囲気があったんだよね。2度目にマイクが来てコメントが終了した時には先にすでに久保田さんはコメントを終えていたので彼に渡してもしょうがないのでどうしようかって感じが。でもすかさず、カイトが自分のほうへと促してマイクを受け取っていたんだ。その時は丁度直太朗がコメントをしていた時だったので次はカイトの番だということが分かっていたから。緊張しながらもこうしたちょっとした心遣いを持てる人だとカイトから感じ取った。それから直太朗も最初はカイトと同様に何を伝えたいのか分からないような感じであったが2度目にマイクが来た時には「今、言い忘れていたことを思い出しました。映画に音を入れる段階では無音の映像だけを観るんですね。最初観た時には歪んでるなと思いました。でも、多くのスタッフが低予算で素晴らしい作品を作りだそうとした意思を感じ取り、無音の中から耳を澄ますと聞えてくる音を自分なりに音楽にのせてみました。」と。もう、直太朗もカイトも天然ぶりを発揮して会場の笑いを誘っていた。主役の二人のコメントはさすが役者さん、落ち着いてしっかり述べられていたね。主役の二人は初主演カイトと直太朗もこういうシーンは初めて・・・等もあり場を盛り上げていたのはミッキーさん。さすが年の功だね。カイトと直太朗のコメント途中にもチャチャを入れたり終始、ピエロ的な役回りで好感が持てた。彼自身のコメントは「いつも役作りの為に、実際にその役を経験するようにしている。例えばホームレスの役だったら、それを1週間くらい体験するとか・・・でも、今回は死刑囚の役なので、さすがに経験することはできなかった。」最後にマスコミ関係者のカメラ撮影があり何台ものカメラで一番右側のマイクに向かってとか中央のカメラに目線をとか指示がある。笑顔でお願いしますと言われた時にカイトは笑わせようと、隣にいる直太朗の胸をこずいたりしている。もっとも直太朗は笑顔をという注文される前から笑みを浮かべていたけどね。直太朗は指示されたカメラではない方向を見ていたのだろう、進行役の女性から「森山さん、こちら左側のカメラです。」と促されたりしている（笑）これ以降は映画の感想となるのでこれからご覧になる方はスルーしてね。原作を読んでいないので何とも言えないが何故、こんな状況下で二人の恋愛感情が高まったのか心理的な経緯が伝わってこなかった。だからいまいち感情移入ができなかったなあ。そしてラストのクライマック・シーンは真摯＆滑稽な相反する感情が入り混じり感動とは程遠いものであった。「脳内純愛」というキャッチフレーズがありそれを期待していたからであろうか？もっとメンタルな部分での恋愛感情を掘り下げて欲しかった。やはり限られた上映時間でそれを表現するのは無理かなと思った。でも、静かに淡々と進むストーリー展開の映像、カメラワークも芸術的なものも感じられるくらい良かったし、刑務所のシーンでも窓から見える外の風景とかの描写もあり決して暗くならないのが良かった。これがカイトの初メガホン映画としては良い作品に仕上がっていたと思う。そして、主演二人も自然な好演技で今後期待できる新人だと思ったよ。直太朗の「真幸くあらば」はクライマックス・シーンで、「僕らは死んでゆくのだけれど」はエンディング・ロールでいずれもフルで流れるよ。それ以外シーンでの音楽は紺野紗衣さんのピアノ。

今日は「イチゴの日」ナンシー・シナトラの「イチゴの片想い」は「レモンのキッス」に続くヒット曲。但し、これはアメリカではヒットせず、日本だけでヒットした。上手い邦題のせいもあるね。Today is "The day of the strawberry"."Tonight You Belong To Me" of Nancy Sinatra is a hit following "Like I Do".But this song did not make a hit in U.S.A. and made a hit only in Japan.I think that the good title in Japanese is one of the reason of the result. ↓クリック♪ Click♪
