What the SEC Just Announced

The SEC released a token taxonomy interpretation today. This interpretation creates four distinct categories of crypto assets.
SEC は今日、トークン分類に関する解釈を発表した。この解釈は、暗号資産を4つの明確なカテゴリに分類するものだ。

Here’s what’s NOT considered a security anymore:
もはや証券とは見なされないものはこちらだ：

Digital Commodities — Think Bitcoin, Ethereum, and similar assets
デジタル・コモディティ（ビットコイン、イーサリアムなどの資産を想像してほしい）

Digital Collectibles — NFTs and similar digital items
デジタル収集品（NFT やそれに類するデジタルアイテム）

Digital Tools — Utility tokens that serve specific functions
デジタル・ツール（特定の機能を果たす効用トークン）

Payment Stablecoins — Under the Genius Act framework
決済ステーブルコイン（ジーニアス法の枠組みの下にあるもの）

Only one category remains under securities laws. That’s digital securities — traditional securities that are tokenized. This is monumental for the crypto industry.
