On 26th, I heard a news that the Japanese Government decided to sell the stocks of Tokyo Metro and the vacant lot of a dormitory for Diet member and its land to earn money about 200 billion yen for earthquake disaster reconstruction. Due to early stock selling to the Market established by the Act on Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. and the requiring lots of money without tax raise and new bond issue, the government chose to sell them.
However Naoki Inose, the vice-governor of Tokyo and the author of "For Whom the Subways in Tokyo exist", opposes the plan because it thwarts his plan to merge 2 subways in Tokyo. As I wrote before, he said if the stocks were sold, the chance of merging never comes due to the less influence of Tokyo Governmental Office.
I don't go against. We're in an emergency and the way to earn money the Government is doing can be normal. Besides, The influence on the management of Tokyo Governmental Office doesn't weaken because the office doesn't sell the stocks.
