I represent a picture of Minami Katayama from "Wake Up, Girls!", my most notable anime show starting from this January.
She is a junior high girl from Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture and a member of a newcomer idol singer group "Wake Up, Girls!", and was born on January 22, 1999. Though she is 1.5-metre (59-inch) height, she is a big eater; lack of foods easily enervates her (from "AniMedia" magazine February issue in 2014). Her most favourite foods are baked sweet potato and pancake. She also likes to sing folk ballads.
As I watched the show, Minami-chan is really, really cute because of not only her look, but also cheerful and pure-hearted character melting other persons around her, forward-looking attitude toward her task, and little-naive voice. Her behaviour eating sweet potatoes and many-layered waffles also made it soothing.
This anime is set in Sendai, the biggest city in Miyagi Prefecture. On the night of Christmas Eve in 2013, while restoring after the March 11 Earthquake in 2011, the 7-membered girls singer group debuted on a stage in Kotodai Park. The work features them to grow to admirable entertainer.
