Leaving Tachikawa Station, I next went to Komagawa, where I first met KiHa 110 Series in old livery like KiHa 38 Series to celebrate marking 80th anniversary of opening whole section of Hachiko Line stopping at a side track.
KiHa 38 Series was manufactured as the conversion of KiHa 35 Series, which had run before it debuted; reusing some parts such as torque converters and bogies, had been in service between 1986 and 1996 before the electrification between Hachioji and Komagawa. Since the retirement, it had been in service on Kururi Line in Chiba Prifecture until 2012.

Because it has strong image of regular colour, white and green, in my heart, the old one, white, red, and gold, looked little new on KiHa 110 Series' body. I also would like to travel by it someday.
