Halloween
Happy Halloween !!I didn't do anything spacial this year. Crushed Oreo cookies !! Halloween '06 Bathroom is "almost" finished.We should wait from 48 to 72 hours before applying sealant to the tile and grout. So, our contractor will come back on Friday and they will apply the sealant to both the grout joints and the tile face. We can use the toilet,sink and whirlpool tub by this weekend.However we cannot use the shower yet.The shower door will be arrived and installed (hopefully) in two week. A little more patient. ハッピーハロウィーン！！今年は見事に何もしませんでした。りんままさんが送ってくださった可愛いカードをキャンディーのバスケットに飾って手作りの魔女の帽子と箒のクッキー、チョコクッキーを砕いて造った墓地。去年はDukeもDuchも仮装したのにね。《写真は去年のハロウィーン》 来年はもっと盛り上げなきゃ・・・他の事は後回しにしての全力投球のバスルーム・・・完成が近くなってきています。グラウトを塗ってから3日しないとシーラーを塗ることが出来ないので明日一日開けて金曜日にシーラーを塗りに業者の人が来ます。戸棚の取っ手も金曜日。週末にはお風呂もトイレも使えるようになるのですがシャワードアが届くのが二週間後。それまではシャワーが使えません。もう少しの辛抱ですね。s

Fall party
We had a fun day at Tina's party.Pumpkin Carving GamesApple picking Donut Eating Contest Food Egg Toss 友人宅での秋のパーティー。ハロウィーンのパンプキン彫刻のコンテストリンゴ口つかみ、ドーナッツ喰い競争(ドーナッツを縄から落とさないようにクルクル回して食べる）卵(ゆで卵と生卵）投げ 瓶の中のキャンディーの数当てその他にも色々なゲームが用意されていて楽しかったです。

Master Bathroom Remodeling- part 2
There are three contractors working on the marble tiles.They work very hard. They wanted to finish the walls today and they worked 8am to 6:30pm, but they couldn't.Marble tiles are not easy to work with.Each tile has different colors and it is not an exact square.It is a very time-consuming and stressful job.No wonder the contractors ask for more money to install marbles than ceramic/porcelain tiles. Inspector Duke 毎日朝8時から6時過ぎまで ３人の工事請負業者が一所懸命に働いてくれています。今日中に壁の大理石タイルを張り終えたかったようですが6時半まで頑張っても無理でした。普通のタイルと違って大理石の場合は一枚一枚 色もサイズも違っているので扱いにくいのです。時間が掛かるだけでなくてかなり神経を使います。だから 工事の人件費を高く請求されるのですよね。

Master Bathroom Remodeling- part 1
10/22/07Our master bathroom was demolished. 10/25/07 The cement boards and the lightings are almost finished. There were some problems and the "last minute" shoppings that drove us crazy, but over all things are going well so far. Marble tiles will be installed tomorrow. Wall : TOSCANA Floor :CREMA MARFIL 夫婦の寝室のバスルーム《マスターバスルーム》のリフォームが 今週の月曜日に始まりました。 一寸した問題や急に買い物に出かける必要が何回かあった以外は思ったより順調に進んでいます。明日から大理石のタイルを張る工事が始まります。

She is back!!
Mommy is feeling well now. But we are not so happy. マミーが元気になってきました。でも 僕達はあまり嬉しくはないんだ。 She went overboard with her scissors again.また マミーの《鋏が止まらない病》が発作。 Duke: Duchess, you look like an ugly Hairless Chinese Crested. Duke: Duch、君、不細工なチャイニーズ・クレステッド・ドッグみたいだよ～。 Duchess: Don't tease me. I will cry. Duch： 意地悪言わないで！泣いちゃうから～。 Duchess: Don't try to stop me. I'm going away for good.You can't stop me, so don't even think about it! Duch： 止めようとしないでよ。私、絶対に戻ってこないから。私を止める事は出来ないわ。だから そんなこと考えても無駄よ。

sick day
I am sick and not feeling well at all for six days.It was a good thing to had a family gathering before I got sick.Many thanks to wonderful gifts. Thank you, Reiko-san.I will use this doggy cleaner for my new camera. 先週の金曜日から身体の具合が悪くて何も出来ません。折角の誕生日も台無しでした。幸いにも 娘達が早目にお祝いに来てくれていたのでその日は楽しく過ごせました。REIKOさんにも日本の可愛らしいカードを戴いたのに・・・今週は全ての予定をキャンセル。来週 元気になったら更新します。

stinky Duke
Duke has been skunked.I went to a site and get a recipe for skunk wash which contains a mixture of 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide (from drug store), 1/4 cup of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and a teaspoon of liquid detergent. Poor Duchess fainted. It smells so bad it burns your nose.Why tomato juice is believed to eliminate skunk odor?Bathing an animal in tomato juice seems to work because at high doses of skunk spray the human nose quits smelling the odor (olfactory fatigue). When this happens, the odor of tomato juice can easily be detected. A person suffering olfactory fatigue to skunk spray will swear that the skunk odor is gone and was neutralized by the tomato juice. Another person coming on the scene at this point will readily confirm that the skunk spray has not been neutralized by the tomato juice. Anyhow, Duke's face still smell so bad! DEODORIZE THE HOUSE(Incense; Spikenard)Dukeがスカンクに悪臭をスプレーされました。全く・・・・シャンプーをしても臭いが取れません。アメリカでは スカンクの悪臭対策にトマトジュースで身体を洗うと良いと言われていますが 実際は トマトの酸性の匂いが悪臭をカヴァーすると言うだけで中性化するわけではないらしいです。ウェッブ検索で重曹とアルコールを石鹸液で混合してシャンプーすると中性化という科学者のサイトを見つけて試しましたが、まだ臭いです。可哀想なDuchは気絶していました。目の近くを狙われたみたいでシャンプーでは洗えない場所が一番臭いです。この臭さは何とも喩えようがないです。何でも酷い場合は二年間臭いが消えないらしいです。(最悪）家中が臭くなっていて 私が大好きなスパイクナード（甘松）の線香を一日中 Dukeが臭いをつけた部屋に焚いています。

Fine autumn day
"Women are as fickle as autumn weather."(Japanese Sayings)October has come, and the weather has suddenly become warmer.Kay's tennis team lost badly yesterday, but they won huge today.These girls have a tendency to go from one extreme to the other. Coach Lynch : Get out of here! Duke and Duchess : Please don't yell at us.【女心と秋の空】と言いますが 秋らしく涼しくなっていたのが１０月に入って急に暖かくなっています。ケイのテニスチームは昨日は散々に負けて 今日はシングルスもダブルスも圧勝。この娘達 物凄く極端ですね。コーチの”Get out of here!”｢此処から出て行け」と言う意味の他に｢信じられない～。本当？」と言う場合にも使われます。今日は どっちの意味で使ったのでしょうかね？（ハンドジェスチャーは｢出て行け」と言っていますね。)DukeとDuchは りんままさん手作りの浴衣を着ています。似合ってますよね。
