I finally got this all to myself. DukeとIndy、出て行ってよ！　　　　　　　　　　　やっと　私ひとり。

Each card has two words on it, one easy, one difficult. The harder the word, the more points it's worth. The player picks one word from each card and loads them into the timer device. S/he then has about a minute to communicate the words to teammates; when a word is guessed correctly, the card must be snatched out of the timer. The timer, meanwhile, will "eat" the cards, one at a time, if they aren't snatched. You get points for each card successfully rescued from the timer. 今年の感謝祭には娘達のBFに親戚､計３０名ほどが集まって食事をしました。今回のビックサプライズは　一年中でアメリカ全土の全ての空港が最も混雑すると言われている感謝祭の前日にジェニーとBFのジェイソンが　シアトルからの航空券を直前に購入して家族の集まりに参加してくれた事です。ロンドンから遠い親戚に当たる(血縁ではない)ルイス(長髪の男性）も来てくださいました。３時集合で６時に夕食と言う計画通り　全てがスムーズに進みました。『料理の鉄人』の如く　娘達も大活躍。娘のBF達は『エプロンを着けさせられた三銃士』?（ケイのBFのジュスティンは　子供達の遊び相手係）七面鳥は１３キロ。大きすぎて　普通のロースト･ターキー用のお皿に収まらなかったです。調理時間は　３時間半。我が家のオーヴンは対流熱伝達方式なので普通のオーブンより焼く時間が短くて済みます。このオーブンは　妹の由美ちゃん曰く『マジックオーブン』何でも美味しく焼きあがります。そして　オーブンが二つ　壁に嵌め込まれているのでターキーを焼いている間、他の料理はもうひとつのオーブンを使用。アメリカのキッチンはこう言うパーティー対策　バッチリです。私達が夕食の支度をしている間　子供達は庭でフットボール遊び。雨の天気予報が外れて幸いでした。(ドロドロになって家中に戻って来られるのは困りますものね～。）皆さんがそれぞれが得意料理を持ち寄ってくださったので　たいそう豪華な夕食会になりました。食後は　ゲームをしたりお喋りをしたり・・・全員１１時過ぎまで楽しい時間を過ごしたようでパーティーのホスト役としては安堵。フィラデルフィアに住んでいる甥が家に辿り着いたのは　多分２時半過ぎだったと思います。

My herb garden;　AeroGarden

Do you remember AeroGarden Herb Planter (NASA-tested technology grows plants without soil, by bathing roots in an "aeroponic" mist of water and nutrients) which Jenny gave to me?10/18/07 It was very easy to set up and everything works fine.The light is very strong and lights up the entire sun room area. 11/19/07They are oregano, mint, Genovese basil, thyme,　Savory, garlic chives and　Italian parsley.This is actually pretty neat.The best thing is that Deer cannot get them.However,this machine and seeds are so expensive, I wonder that how much herbs I　can buy at stores with what Jenny paid for them. Those mushrooms were growing at our yard.I wanted to try eating them, but are they poisonous? 私が　ジェニーに誕生日プレゼントとして貰った室内ガーデン（土を使わないで水で栽培する機械）を覚えていますか？１０月１８日に設置してから壱月経ちました。先週からオレガノやパセリを数回摘みました。イタリアンハーブセットはオレガノ・ミント・ジェノヴェーゼ　バジル・タイム・チャイブ・サボリー･イタリアン　パセリ今日は七種類全てを使って　パスタのソースとオリーブオイルディップを作りました。パンにハーブ入りのオリーブオイルで食べるのがイタリアンスタイル。この機械をセットアップするのは物凄く簡単で説明書に従ってすれば２０分も掛かりませんでした。光熱センサーが電灯を自動的に点滅し　水や肥料の供給もセンサーが知らしてくれます。室内なので野生動物の被害にあうこともないし、寒い冬でも栽培が出来ます。でも、肥料を与えているとは言え、土ではなく水で育つ所為か全体に小ぶりで　特にチャイブは弱々しいです。オレガノの一部は電球の熱で焼けてしまいました。（これは私の責任。もっと早目に摘んでおけばよかったと後悔。）それに　この機械、高すぎます。(１５０ドル）この機械専用の種セットも７種類で３０ドル。機械にふた箱の種セット。２００ドル以上ですよ～。スーパーで沢山のハーブが買えますね。電球も特別サイズだそうで高価なようです。この折角のプレゼントを無駄にしない為には　新鮮なハーブを使って美味しい料理を家族に食べさせなければいけませんね～。さて最後の二枚の写真は数週間前に我が家の庭に生えてきたキノコ。これ、美味しそうなのですが食べれるのかしら？

There is no escape from mites! Total surrender 　Duchの睫毛　長いでしょう？写真だと判りにくいですか？濃い目の茶色の毛が睫毛です。さて　皆さんは睫毛に住んでいる生物がいるのをご存知ですか？恐ろしいダニ!!｢顔ダニ」とか「にきびダニ」とか呼ばれるダニが寄生している可能性があるらしいです。寄生率１００％では　殆どの人に　にきびダニは寄生しているのでしょうね。ダニはアレルギーの原因になりますが、私たちが　夜　寝ている間に　ベットや枕に寄生している塵ダニが私たちが落としている数千万もの皮膚細胞を消費してくれているおかげで家の清掃を助けてくれているそうです。（そうは言ってもね～。私はダニによるアレルギー皮膚炎のほうが困ります。 Dukeは完全に降参状態ですね。）

Lunch with Kim

Kim took me to Korean town in NJ. We had a Korean BBQ at one of her favorite restaurant.The chopsticks and rice bowls are stainless steel.Japanese and Chinese are hold up a rice bowl to eat rice, but Korean doesn't hold the rice bowl to eat.(The stainless rice bowl may be too hot to hold for some, anyway.) I like the stylish stainless chopsticks.They are easier to clean than wood one; I think I will get them. Build-in Char Grill　 Huge Perilla. Kim calls it Sasame leaf. Japanese calls it Shiso. Last month Kim and I had Home cooking style Korean food at local Japanese restaurant　”Toro". Kim said she doesn't cook fish dishes at home.That will stink up entire house.When she desperately wants to eat fish at home, she would cook them outside of the house. At Korean restaurant when you order the main dish, we get many varieties of side dishes for FREE.I love those testy side dishes.Kim told me the names of each dishes.However I forgot them all.All I remember is they were delicious.They were not too spicy hot.Some of them have traces of sweetness and sourness in them.Also, even very spicy food won't makes your whole mouth hot by eating with tofu or fresh leaves. I love Korean food !!お友達のKimがニュージャージーに在るコリアンタウンに連れて行ってくれました。彼女のお気に入りのレストランで韓国焼肉を食べました。炭火焼で本場韓国の味だそうで　美味しかったです。レストランではスタイリッシュなステンレスのお箸が出てきました。これは木のお箸より洗うのも楽だし　長持ちしますよね。(皿洗い機に入れる事が出来る）今度　ネットで探して買うつもりです。お茶碗もステンレス製で　韓国人は日本人や中国人とは違ってお茶碗を手に持って食べる事はしないらしいです。ステンレス製のお茶碗は手に持つには熱すぎます。コリアンレストランでは　メインのお料理を注文すると数々の小皿料理(無料サービス）が出てきます。これが美味しいので　ご飯とこの前菜だけで私は大満足。先月はKimとローカルのジャパニーズ･レストランで韓国の家庭料理を食べました。(正規のメニューには載っていないらしいです。）一つ一つ　Kimが説明してくれたのですが　食べるのに一生懸命だったので料理の名前を覚えていません。Kimのご主人がお魚を食べないので家の中が魚臭くなるのを　彼女は気にして普段　お魚料理は家では食べないそうです。(Kimは旦那様思いの素敵な奥様です。）どうしても食べたい時は庭にでて料理するとか・・・彼女はマグロの煮付けの小鉢を追加注文していました。(追加注文も無料サービスでした。）韓国料理というとキムチが有名で辛い物ばかりのように思われているようですが辛さの中にも甘味や酸味が混じっている料理が多いです。激辛の料理もレタスや特大サイズの大葉で巻いたり、豆腐と一緒に食べると口の中が燃えることもないです。韓国料理って美味しいですね～。
