Tiffanys Sues 36 site for trademark infringement

Around 36 websites are being sued by Tiffany & Co., who alleged that these websites are promoting, offering products and selling products that the jeweler claims are counterfeit versions of its products, reports say. The case is filed in Florida federal court. According to reports, the jeweler has alleged that it is a these websites are selling ‘confusingly similar imitations of Tiffany’s trademarks’, reports add.

Tiffany has alleged federal trademark infringement and counterfeiting, false designation of origin, cyber-squatting, and common law unfair competition, reports add.

Reports also suggest that the suit asks that those behind the websites designated be permanently enjoined to set up any websites in the future with the Tiffany mark and to disable all the websites with their domains removed from search engines, and the contents of their PayPal accounts be turned over to Tiffany.
