Burning Man: Silicon Valley’s Plan for America
AT A GLANCE
• “Burning Man is Silicon Valley” — so said Elon Musk.
• The Burning Man-Silicon Valley connection is unmistakable.
• The technocratic-political elites will transform the world if not exposed and stopped.
Burning Man is a dust-choked orgy and New Age rave in the Nevada desert. Silicon Valley is the place that builds the technology that controls society through algorithms. Two hundred miles separate them. Yet they are the same.
The titans of both Silicon Valley and Burning Man agree this is the case, and they openly admit it. Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI and a loyal “Burner” who has attended at least six times, revealed that “[Burning Man] is one possible, like, part of what the post-AGI [artificial general intelligence] world can look like.” Elon Musk, the world’s first tech trillionaire, cavalierly stated that “Burning Man is Silicon Valley.”
Burning Man co-founder John Law corroborated that sentiment in an op-ed for The San Francisco Standard this year: “What had begun as a strange desert expedition became the vacation of choice — and eventually something close to a required pilgrimage — for the emerging Silicon Valley elite…. The captains of the new internet economy — Elon Musk, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos — adopted the event as their own.”
