Governor's Mansion

Missouri Governor's Mansion was built in 1871 as a Governors home and is the oldest surviving one in the country. The view from the mansion is breath taking and it has been registered under the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. A strong influence of Neo Renaissance architecture can be seen in the architecture and the grand stairway inside is one of the major attractions. The walls of the house are decorated with numerous paintings and artifacts that depicts the history of the house.
