Following the 34-32 victory over the New York Jets , the Pittsburgh Steelers must now prepare for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 — and HC Mike Tomlin believes there's one area in particular they'll need to watch out for.
At Tuesday's press conference, Tomlin shared what he believes to be the Seahawks ' greatest strength — their outstanding secondary.
"I think not only is the [Seahawks'] secondary the strongest position on the unit, but probably the strongest position on the team," Tomlin told reporters . "They just have a talented and very deep group. I think that was on display last weekend. They play a lot of people — they played as many as seven defensive backs in the game. There's several that make that a reality."
Tomlin went on to name several impactful Seahawks defensive backs that make the Seattle secondary so dangerous, such as CB Devon Witherspoon , CB Tariq Woolen , FS Julian Love , and SS Coby Bryant .
While the Aaron Rodgers-led offense will no doubt have its hands full, Pittsburgh also boasts a strong secondary — one that now features new safety Jabrill Peppers .
