High this month they're coming off a draft where they had 3 1st round picks and they locked up their star running back Bruce Hall to a 3 year contract extension worth just under 46 million.

Yesterday Bruce Hall spoke to the media and backed up why he's worth that money.

I feel like I'm the only running back that's consistently a top 10 back in the league that's not in a, you know, that hasn't in the past been always the most ideal situation, so I feel like now, you know, um, AG and moves, like, you know, I feel like they really put me in position with all the guys we brought in and the team we're building around us to really flourish and for me to really be myself, so, um.

You know, God willing, you know, we stay healthy and everything and everything goes as planned.

I feel like this could be my best season for sure.

All right, so Bruce Hall says it, but here how the numbers pan out.

Since 2023, Bruce Hall out of Iowa State joined the NFL and the Jets.

He's ranked 6th in catches, 6, 4th in receiving yards, 10th in touches at 844 , and 8th in yards from scrimmage.

So.

Now that we know what the Jets have invested in Bruce Hall, do you think his return will involve being a top 10 running back in 2026?

Well, they're paying him as one.

If you look at the top running backs being paid going into this year, I think he's like number 3 or number 4, and the rest of the guys surrounding him are what you would call lead backs, and I, I firmly believe that Bruce Hall is one of those running backs that if you give an opportunity, I know they have Brelin Allen there and a whole bunch of guys there that they like to use, but whenever Bruce Hall has been that guy.

Look at the numbers, he's that guy.

So Willie, I do believe that Bruce Hall this year will be a top 10 back.

Just give him the opportunity, make him that lead back.

You're, you're paying him as one now play him as one, AG.

What you got, Willie?

Yeah, listen, for me, a guy who covers the New York Jets, man, this dude had over 1000 yards last season, and the Jets were 3 and 14.

I think over the years the Jets have just been deficient and on all units, right?

They didn't have really good offense line, bad quarterback play, yada yada yada.

That's not the case this year.

They have a really good young offensive line.

They have a defense that's gonna be revamped and ready to roll, and AG wants to get back to playing.

Detroit style football, which is running the ball and playing the big time defense, and they have a lead back in Bruce Hall who can produce.

So I think he's a Swiss Army knife.

There's nothing he can't do when he's healthy.

I think he's primed to have a big year.

I could see him being a top 5 running back, honestly too.

He's like one.

He should be.

Let me paraphrase his quote.

His quote, in which he said like a gentleman, was, uh, our teams have been trash, and I've still been pretty good, and that's a good take, and it's true.

And that's, that's why they paid him.

They paid him like a top 5 back because those stats we just put up about receptions, I didn't see rushing yards on there.

He, he's, that's, that's a pretty important stat.

You know what I remember about Bruce Hall?

The crazy Aaron Rodgers night when he comes out with the flag and his first start and everything, and oh my God, Aaron Rodgers is a Jet.

He comes out and the first play of the day, of the night, they hand it off to Bruce Hall.

He bust off a big run against Buffalo, and we're like, whoa.

The young running back, never mind Rodgers, the young running backs can be the truth, and then Rodgers' leg exploded and so did the whole season, but he's always had it, and I think he will be top 10 statistically.

But let me tell you, Bruce, like that that can't be the goal.

You, you're not paid like a top 10 guy.

You're not a top 10 talent even.

You should be a top 5 guy with that paycheck, and as much as they're going to feed him in that offense, I think he should be .

Hopefully he's featured.
