Bryce Eldridge Takes Advice to Heart With San Francisco Giants
With first season behind him, Bryce Eldridge is listening to wise advice from fellow San Francisco Giants teammates.

Hey, I'm Joe Rutland with Giants Roundtable for Roundtable Sports.
Phenom first baseman Bryce Eldridge is in the Giants' spring training camp right now, and he's certainly getting a lot of advice and wisdom from some veterans that are on the Major League club right now.
Players like Willie Adames and Matt Chapman have come up and offered Eldridge some wise counsel as he's trying to get a roster spot for the Giants' opening day roster.
According to Eldridge, both Adames and Chapman have pretty much said, "Be yourself.
Don't try and put too much pressure on yourself.
Just be who you are, learn what you need to learn, be comfortable around your surroundings, and know that we're here to support you."
And, and those words are comforting to a, a guy like Eldridge, who had- has that phenom tag on himself, and he's He came up late last season and, you know, showed flashes of brilliance.
But he was struggling at the plate, you know, he went three for twenty-eight, with a pair of doubles and, you know, struck out ten times.
So, you know, he, he needs to get more seasoning this season.
And it may be that Eldridge, as much as Giants fans want to see him at the big league level, he might have to start at Triple-A Sacramento, which isn't all bad.
So that would give him more time to get in-game experience at first base, and he can really work on honing the elements of his game that he wants to improve on, like his hitting, like his fielding.
And, you know, even infield coach Ron Washington is with the Giants staff and Jimmy Vitello this season, notices that Eldridge wants to learn, is doing his best, and trying to soak it all in at the Giants camp right now.
Could Eldridge make the Major League roster?
Sure, he could, but Giants fans have to wonder, do they want to see him on the bench not getting any playing time, or would they rather see him get some playing time at Triple-A, improve his game all around, and then come back up to the Giants at some point during the season?
Whichever way works out, Eldridge will though, no, no doubt, go and show he's worthy of the Giants' belief in him.
And Giants president of baseball operations, Buster Posey, and Vitello are watching how he progresses, and they'll make a decision at some point in time whether he'll stay at the big league level or go to Triple-A.
Nevertheless, Giants fans, Bryce Eldridge is here to stay.
He's gonna be a big player for a long time to come for the Giants organization.
And once he gets more seasoning, he should be really a great addition at first base.
