CHI reportedly trading Moore to BUF ‘makes sense’

All right, they heard the terms of the trade that went through yesterday morning.
The Chicago Bears send receiver DJ Moore to the Bills.
They send Moore and a fifth-round pick, and they get back a second-round pick.
So it was initially reported as a mid-round pick.
I guess when you subtract the two from the five, I don't know, what does that mean?
Three and a half?
I don't know.
Three, yeah, somewhere in there.
But- Yeah.
Yeah.
So this one makes sense for both teams, and let's start with the Bears.
And I looked at all the numbers, I looked at the production, I looked at the playing time percentages.
DJ Moore arrived in 2023 as part of the trade that ultimately got Caleb Williams to Chicago, 'cause it was the trade that allowed the Panthers to move up to number one in 2023 to get Bryce Young, and one of the things that went to the Bears was DJ Moore.
Another thing that went to the Bears was the next year's first-round pick of the Panthers, and they stunk just enough that it ended up being the number one overall pick, allowing the Bears to get Caleb Williams.
So Moore had a great year his first season.
Career highs in catches, yards, and touchdowns in 2023.
2024, it dipped a bit.
Last year, it took the biggest hit.
Now he started 17 games all three years, but his playing time dropped from 95% to 80% between '24 and '25.
He had career lows in receptions and possibly yards.
I think it was career lows in re- I know it's, career lows in receptions and also, I believe, yards as well.
So for what the guy's making, and the other weapons that you have, it was just time.
It's a financial decision.
We're paying this guy, and we're not getting the production out of him.
Let's let him go to a team that's gonna get the production out of him because the Bills don't have Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III and Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet.
They've got other weapons, but he's gonna, he's gonna do more for the Bills for that money than he's gonna do for-
