42 games left, down by four Uh-huh.
Seven games against them That means that the Cubs need to go, and let's just be fair, the Cubs need to go 28 and 14 in their next 42 games- Mm-hmm and the Brewers can go 23 and 19.
Does that sound fair?
Yeah, but you have to do damn You can't just split against the Brewers.
Right.
You, you split- If you play against the Brewers, now you're really pushing it You, you might ha- I don't know if 5 and 2's gonna do it.
Because the other part about it too is I was looking this up today, and every s- every single team, almost every single team, if you go by team, all the teams that are in the division right now, all the teams that are gonna be in front of the Cubs towards their grand obstacle of going to the World Series, they've all had these skids, right?
We all remember the 10-game losing streak by the Cubs, right?
Well, the Brewers in April lost seven games in a row.
Since that time, they have lost three in a row once.
They have lost, not lost more than two games in a row only once since that time.
So you're gonna have to bank on them doing it again.
The Philadelphia Phillies to start off the year, they got their manager fired, all right?
So they went through hard times.
The Dodgers just lost seven in a row.
Mm-hmm.
Like, the only team right now that hasn't had a bad stretch is the Atlanta Braves.
The Atlanta Braves have not lost more than three games in a row all season long.
So all that I'm kinda getting at is that it- But that was the Cubs last year.
What does that mean?
It's gonna take two to tango a little bit.
Yeah.
The 28 and 14 is about a 660 winning percentage.
The Cubs have done that before multiple times this year.
I think that is completely I think that's a reasonable number of That's damn good baseball, don't get me wrong, but I think that they can do it.
You're also banking on are the Brewers gonna basically play They need the Brewers to basically play 500-ish baseball to catch them and win by one game in the division.
That's where it gets a little tough.
Mm-hmm.
And that's where, a- again, yeah, maybe that makes the seven games that they play against them all the more paramount.
But I'm also starting to believe that I don't think 5 and 2 versus the Brewers is gonna cut it.
I think it's gotta be like six out of seven-
