And welcome back to Cubs Roundtable.

I'm Joey Polizzi, talking about all things Cubs.

And the Cubs could be getting back a starter very soon.

Jameson Taillon was sent on a rehab assignment to the High-A South Bend Cubs on Sunday, and looked good in his first appearance back from that hamstring strain which he suffered all the way back on June 7th.

He left his start early with some hamstring tightness, then was ruled a hamstring strain.

Missed about a month before returning back to the mound here on his rehab assignment with the South Bend Cubs.

And Taillon did look good in that first rehab assignment start, allowing one run over three and one-third innings pitched with a couple of strikeouts.

Taillon needed to shake off some rust in this outing, as he loaded the bases there in the first inning after giving up three consecutive singles.

But he got out of it, only giving up one run on a sacrifice fly and got out of it and set down the next seven of his next eight batters faced before departing with one out in the top of the fourth inning.

It was a nice start for Taillon in his first start back.

And now it remains to be seen what the Cubs plan to do with Taillon.

There's been rumblings that the Cubs could activate Taillon this week, give him sort of an abbreviated start, and then go into the longer All-Star break, give him extra time to recover and rest.

Or the Cubs could just give him another rehab assignment start, maybe move it up to triple A, and then have him be fully ready to go once the All-Star break is up on July 17th.

The Cubs could choose to go with the latter considering Taillon only threw 45 pitches in his first rehab assignment start, so he's not fully built up yet, and if he does pitch for the Cubs this week, it might only be four innings because he has not built up yet after being down for around a month due to the hamstring strain.

So some options here for the Cubs, but it's a good news that the Cubs will be getting back Jameson Taillon either this week or next week.

But let me know what you guys think about Taillon's return, and as always, guys, go Cubs go.
