Cubs Superstar Pete Crow-Armstrong Disrespected In MLB All-Star Voting
Despite posting MVP-caliber numbers and leading the league in defensive metrics, Chicago's dynamic center fielder remains buried in the latest ballot results as the Midsummer Classic approaches.

What is up, Cubs fans?
And welcome back to Cubs Roundtable.
I'm Joey Polizzi, talking about all things Cubs.
And MLB released the second set of ballot update here before phase one closes on Thursday at 12 noon Eastern time.
And there's not much different where the Cubs are ranked from last week's edition.
You got every player outside the ranked, outside the top five, and both of the outfields, Pete Armstrong and Seiya Suzuki, ranked outside the top 10.
So with the All-Star voting for phase one closing here in a few days, it's looking like no Cubs player will move on to phase two, which means no Cubs players will be starting at this year's All-Star game.
But I want to focus in here on Pete Crow Armstrong, because it is unreal, crazy that Crow Armstrong is ranked and placed as low as he is among voters here in the National League outfield.
Because Pete Crow Armstrong ranks 14th here.
Justin Crawford has more votes than him.
Mauricio Dubon has more votes than him.
Kyle Tucker has more votes than him.
Teoscar Hernandez has more votes than him.
So it's like it could go on and on.
Pete Crow Armstrong, realistically, should be one of the, one of the top two spots in the National League outfield.
He has been that good this season.
The way he's played recently has firmly put him into the National League MVP conversation.
You know, Pete Crow Armstrong batting over 280, 16 home runs, and playing gold glove, platinum glove out there in center field.
He ranks first among all defenders in outs above average, runs prevented, fields in run value.
Any major defensive statistic metric, Pete Crow Armstrong is one or two in every single one of them.
That's just how good he's been.
And offensively, he has really been unreal over the past three weeks.
Unreal.
Batting over 400, 10 home runs since late May.
But unfortunately, Crow Armstrong is not going to be a starter this year because the fans are not appreciating his game.
Crow Armstrong barely has 600,000 votes and is ranked 14th, placed 14th.
So he's not going to start.
And it's kind of, it's kind of sad that Crow Armstrong is ranked so low.
And, and it's, it's not indicative of the way Crow Armstrong has played this year because he is second in all of baseball and war, only behind Shohei Ohtani.
That's just how good he has been.
So Crow Armstrong, a little bit disrespected at, among fans in the voters.
