Pete Crow-Armstrong's Offensive Surge Coming At Perfect Time
Overcoming defensive miscues, Chicago's young star is fueling a resurgence with clutch walk-offs and elite power. His league-leading metrics prove he is sparking this Cubs lineup.

And welcome back to Cubs Roundtable.
I'm Joey Polizzi, talking about all things Cubs.
And Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong has put the team on his back recently.
Since moving to the leadoff spot in the end of May, Crow-Armstrong has turned his offensive game a full 360 around.
He has been hitting the ball really well recently, and is batting over 400, with five home runs and nine RBIs over his last 11 games.
Crow-Armstrong has really come through also in key moments during this 11-game history.
If you look at Thursday's game, he hit a home run in the sixth inning to provide a spark for this Cubs offense.
And then, in the ninth inning of that same game, Crow-Armstrong hit a walk-off single to s- to propel them to a come from behind victory against the Athletics.
Then on Saturday, Crow-Armstrong again was at the forefront of another come from behind victory.
He hit a home run to break a s- to break a 1-0 deficit there in the sixth inning, and then in the ninth inning, tied up the game with a 400 plus home run in the ninth inning, where the Cubs eventually won in extra innings on a Michael Busch RBI single.
Crow-Armstrong has really been playing like an MVP caliber player over this two-week stretch, and it's nice to see him finally get into a groove at the plate.
When you look at what he's done of- recently offensively, and you look at what he continues to do defensively.
Yes, he's had a couple of blunders in the outfield over the past month, but still, he has been the best defensive center field in baseball this season.
He ranks first among all outfielders in runs prevented, outs above average, and fielding run value.
Peter Crow-Armstrong has really been a star for this Cubs player, and the Cubs will continue needing him to perform well on offense to get this offense going.
