Dressel goes wire-to-wire win for 50m free win
Caeleb Dressel added the men's 50m freestyle national title to his championship in the 100m free from earlier in the meet, clocking in at 21.35 seconds.

You said after the 100 free it had been a while since you saw a number one next to your name.
There's another number one for the 50 free, and a big smile.
How did you react to that time and that performance?
You know, it was great.
I mean, walking out, everyone in the stands, y'all are still making this fun for me.
I mean, that helps so much, you know, hearing the roar.
So I'm hoping, I'm, I'm trying to put on a show here.
We'll keep getting quicker.
It's a really exciting year, just so much new.
If it weren't for gosh dang Ilya, the butterflies would've been a pretty sweet treat.
But it's nice seeing the young kids go quick.
So yeah, freestyle's usually second best, but I think we flipped it, at this meet.

You're a couple weeks away from turning 30 and putting up times like this.

What does this How do you put all of this into words this week that you've had in Irvine?
I'm old.
I mean, it's, I'm an old man.
It's fine.
And the heat sheet did me dirty.
On 29 it says I'm 30, so I was just racing mad the whole weekend.
