When to Expect Bears EDGE Shemar Turner to Return From 2025 Injury
After an ACL tear derailed his rookie season, the explosive pass rusher nears a mid-season return to bolster Chicago's defensive front ahead of crucial divisional showdowns.

Out of the eight rookies that the Bears drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, four of them saw significant playing time as starters with Colson Loveland, Ozzie Trapillo, Kyle Manangai, and Luther Burden all starting at one point or another for the Bears.
There was one rookie who never really got a chance to get going as Shamar Turner tore his ACL in the game against the Baltimore Ravens after just five games.
Turner played college football at Texas A&M and was supposed to be in the mix for the, the edge rusher spot on the defense.
The Bears really could have used him as they struggled immensely to, formulate a consistent pass rush, especially after him and both Deyo Odiengbo went down for the year, due to injury.
The Bears ranked twenty-second in the NFL with thirty-five sacks as a team, and Odiengbo and Turner both going out with injury did not do them any favors.
So far, we've not yet seen Turner, at training camp or throughout the preseason as the Bears have one game remaining with the Tennessee Titans on Saturday.
Turner actually started training camp on the PUP list and has not come off just yet.
Luckily, we did get an update from Bears insider Brad Biggs as he, shared that he thinks Turner should be back in the mix sometime in October.
The Bears do have a, two very important games in the month of October.
They start out by facing the New York Jets, and then they get to see the Green Bay Packers for the first time on October eleventh.
They then take on the Atlanta Falcons before facing the, the Super Bowl runner-up New England Patriots on October twenty-second.
So whenever, whatever time during that month that Turner comes back, it will be a crucial time for the Chicago Bears, and hopefully we'll be able to see him, come back sooner rather than later, much like we did with the likes of left tackle Ozzie Trapillo as he has been back in the mix after, suffering that patellar injury at the end of last season.
